Put 11 Kuyt on the ground. Then we will have 22 players running off on the pitch tireless.

A comfortable 2-0 vicotry to shut up Sam.
Reds is the sacred colour before this world was born.

My reasons for picking Kuyt are. 1stly although i do think crouch is a good player he is too weak for a game like this. He gives three kicks away much too often and i think this game just wouldnt suit him.

2ndly Voronin his finishing is :censored: he doesnt work anywhere as hard as Kuyt and to me he is pointless being on the pitch.

3rdly Ithink that Torres and Kuyt work well together. I think theyve started together 3 times Chelsea Torres Scored. Derby Torres scored twice and arsenal Torres came off at HT so that should just be void.

I think we should set out to dominate this game by playing 4- 5 -1 which easily changes to 4-3-3 with Gerrard and Kewell moving forward.

                    Reina

Finnan  Carra       Hyypia       Arbeloa

Gerrard     Lucas  Sissoko  Masherano Kewell

                         Torres

if i were to go for a 4-5-1 think i'de prefer to go with:

                         Reina

Finnan         Carra       Hyypia       Arbeloa

              Sissoko             Masherano

    Babel             Gerrard            Kewell

                         Torres

if Aggers 100% maybe start him instead of Hyypia or maybe bring him on when he gets a bit knackered.

So they scored one between them against Chelsea and half a game against Arsenal, scored against the whipping boys of the Premiership who concede 2 goals a game average against allcomers- that IS conclusive proof

Torres scores a lot of the time regardless who he partners, you're simply suggesting he should hang on Torres' coat tails

Crouch has been immense against Newcastle on a couple of occasions in the past and I don't think they can handle his height, nor Gerrard bombing in behind to get onto his flick-ons.

So, I'd partner him with Torres for this one, assuming both are fit.

On the subject of Voronin for a second, were you not paying attention the last couple of games?  He didn't score himself but he created plenty of chances for both himself and for teammates (see the Gerrard goal against Besiktas for some truly sublime support play).  This something Kuyt rarely achieves anymore.  On current form, I'd have Kuyt in 5th spot, below Babel, in the striker pecking order.

crouch and torres for me, they looked good together when torres came on against fulham so barring injury give them a run up top, couldnt be any worse than Voronin and Kuyts partnership

from liverpoolfc.tv

Daniel Agger is on course to make his long-awaited return from injury when Liverpool resume league action against Newcastle.
The Dane hasn't featured since the trip to Pompey on September 15 because of a broken metatarsal.

With 10 days left until the Reds' next outing, Benitez is confident of having his young defender available for selection.

"Agger is improving a lot, and he has started running now," the boss told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"Yossi Benayoun is with the physios now. We will have to see if he is fit for Newcastle, it's still too early to say. He and Agger are maybes but perhaps it will be easier for Agger than for Benayoun."

Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso, also out with a metatarsal problem, has already been ruled out of the visit to St James's Park.

Benitez added: "Xabi should start running in the next week but he is a no for Newcastle, for sure."
"Fernando Towers won't triumph in the premiership.
And you can quote me on that. " - Sabre 2007
Sorry Sabre, but when i see stuff like this i have to quote it :D

I agree about Voronin, I think you can make a case that he played a significant role in all 5 goals that happened when he was on the pitch against Besiktas then the man who came on for him scored 2.  I don't understand the Vornonin bashing, he has offered a lot more than I expected when he first got here.

and Bad Bob, hell I would play the U16 GK at striker before Kuyt right now    :D

I really hope that Agger is fit for this game. Newcastle have some fast  forwards that would give Hyppia a lot of problems.

true

i would fear for hyypia up against martins

we would end up defending deep and this would ruin our attacking game

right on mate...

teach big sam a lesson for the big mouth he is...

as for agger... I won't risk him if he's not 100%... he's been out for a long time... having to wati 1 more week won't make a difference... I'd rather have him healthy for the rest of the season than going in and out of the injury room
