Important we get a result, Porto are a decent side and will most liely be our main rivals for top spot in the group. I'd play the following team.

Reina

Finnan Carra Agger Arbeloa

Pennant Mascherano Gerrard Babel

Torres Kuyt

I am with big mick on babel being used as a striker... He is not a winger....

I am with big mick on babel being used as a striker... He is not a winger....

Fair do's but Rafa has bought him to play predominantly on the wing I believe - we have Crouch, Kuyt, Voronin and Torres already up front so Babel won't be getting many games there.

Same here mate, it's really weird, i just can't get up for the Champions League at the moment. Sure it will be different come kick-off time though.

BTW, think it might be another 0-0 for us....

Think that will be a good result. You won't see me complaining thats for sure. If we win all our home games and draw the away ones...we should be able to top the group.

Wouldnt go that far but im starting to feel the same way. I want the premiership so much mroe than this and this is starting to look more like a hindrance than something we should be really proud to be in.

i know its bad to say but we need to conentrate a lot more on the league.

that being said, i really hope we beat porto this week. it might be because maureen used to manage them but theres something about porto that just rubs me the wrong way.

no doubt torres and geard will start and we should get 3 points but a point away wouldnt be that bad a result.

Riise is a major player in these games, everyone saw his shot agaisnt Greece im assuming trademark of his :P hope to see a few of those.
