Riki Quaresma - No way no way  always get worried when a fella joins a massive club like barca and doesnt make it , he's obv not good enough , is he even in the national team ? or squad,   he looks good in the portuguese league, i think if rafa did buy him , which he wont them it is a really really lazy buy, ie cudnt be arsed scouting south america where that type of player is a dime a dozen , and would only cost 5mill,  enough said, ya he is grand , looks good , skilful but is a 2nd rate player, would be a complete waste of money at 15mill , no better than pennant.........

never seem mancini play so not even going to talk about him , dont watch italia football.............
magic wingers we should consider ...............swhinteigher - cant spell it .........  van der vaart..... riquelme for the centre.....milito for the back ,,,,,,,

The LEFT side is most definitly the weakest area in my opinion and it has been for at least 2 seasons now.

Riise is playing on memory, Gonzales forgot to turn up when he signed for LFC and even I can't remember the last time Kewell had a decent game ..................ohh yes it was the Semi Final of the FA Cup against Cheatski in April 2006 !

I like Storey At Reading myself and thats not because he got a surprise call up for England. I've been impressed with him at LB. He tackles well, is an inteligent player and gives his team what we desperatly need ........service !

I'd much rather have Quaresma as oppose to Pennant, maybe not for £15m but I'm confident in Rafa's ability to sign the right player for theright money.

I'd sooner see Mancini sign for us.

You'd put Agger as a right back and Finnan as a left back and bring Riquelme in

I've noticed that your posts Mr O "Dywer" are gradually veering towards the absolutely surreal. Now one of three things is the case it seems to me. Either you are becoming progressively less knowledgeable about football as the hours pass, you have consumed copious amounts of the locally distilled single malt, or you are a wind-up merchant. Now whichever it is, can we have some resolution, ie you go to bed to sleep it off, read some books or do one of those grand unveiling ceremonies that we all love so much. The suspense is killing me so much I've had to make myself a strong coffee to keep myself awake, and it's only midday over here.

Both terrible with there opposite foot but seem to get away with it.

I think mancini would be a quality buy for us, or even temp the water by putting a cheeky bid in for SWP, I can't imagine Chelsea to sell to us but it would be worth a shout IMO.

 ... what is it with you guys? a few weeks back there was one guy who said mancini reminded him of kewell... now you say quaresma reminded you of kewell???  so many kewell fans... ... kewell IMO was a good player at his best...now he's very average... mancini and quaresmo are very good players...

Why do you say he's now average ? because he got injured..? before he was injured he was one of the best player in the squad ,now he's back after his long injury itz too early to decide if the injury had made him average . I think rafa still rates him and will still keep him as an option.

Form is temporary Class is permanant

ps : I reckon that rafa will only sign one top class winger and it might be queresma , and i hope w gets heinze as well

he was at his best when he was playing for leeds... at liverpool he never repeated that kind of form... maybe he was one of the better squad players during houllier time but definitely not one of the best players in the squad... better (better here means how valuable he is to the team) than diouf, cisse, traore, biscan, baros... yes... better than gerrard, carragher, finnan, riise, hyppia, owen, hamann? NO...

same goes for rafa's recent squads... better than gerrard, carragher, alonso, finnan, riise, agger, hamann (rafa's first season) even garcia? I don't think so...

It's just my personal opinion but I think he's past his best... to be fair the injuries didn't help...

he's probably now at the same level as pennant and that is pretty average... even pennant is looking more and more dangerous...

31 goals in 70 games including sub appearances for Kevin Doyle....... is 23 yrs of age.....Irish international  ........scored 25 goals from the right wing with Cork city...........

Liverpool fc should be looking at this fella...... he might cost us 6 mill max........ Would be a really good player for us , bags of potential.....knows how to score....scored same amount 13 prem goals last year and was injured a couple of times throughout the year - breaking up his form ,  scored well over 20 in the championship last yr...... Would certainly be worth a gamble........ we've signed this voronin guy who iv never heard of , granted he was free but doyle is better than bellamy and up there alongside  crouch and kuyt........ im not saying he would automatically get his place, he would have to work hard but could  force his way into the team

He was also nominated for the PFA's Young Player of the Year award, missing out to Cristiano Ronaldo who also took the senior award

Hi! I'm portuguese and FCPorto supporter.
I would like to let you know somethings about Quaresma.
In SportingCP when he began playing at seniors he was always in the starting lineups and Cristiano Ronaldo was at most of the times a substitute. Then Quaresma went to Barcelona and in his first game ( it was also Ronaldinho's first game at Barcelona..) that was against ACMilan he scored and was the man of the match. Quaresma made ten starts and eleven substitute appearances, scoring only one goal in Barcelona. In the final weeks of the season he injured his right foot badly, forcing him to miss both the 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship and the 2004 UEFA European Football Championship.
During the EURO 2004 championships, he announced his refusal to play for Barça as long as Frank Rijkaard was in charge, incurring the interest of many other clubs.
Then when he came to FCPorto Co-Adriaanse(ex FCPorto coach) made him pretty mature and to play for the team.
In this season in Portuguese SuperLiga he made an impressive mark of 17 assists and 6 goals in 27 games The second player with more assists had 7.
If you don't trust in a player from our league see him in Champions League games... what he made against Arsenal, Chelsea, Inter...
He is portuguese internacional now... he played against Belgium and Brasil.
He is definitely believe it or not one of the 5 best wingers in the world. He is prretty dangerous in the cross and in middle range shots. He shoots mostly with the outside part of his right foot (a move named trivela) because since him was young we walked with his foots turned inside.
See some videos of him:

I'm sure if he goes to Liverpool he will be one of the best players in PremierLeague.
But don't worry because he will stay in my team :p ...our president don't let him leave for less then 30million €.
YOu can see him against Liverpool in one of the videos.
By the way sorry for my english. :)

Thank you.
Well sometimes he had bad attitudes but not now.
Now he has a more mature behavior. If he goes to Liverpool (wich doubt and don't expect) he won't let you down. He will make everything to everyone like him in the game and out of it. I'm sure of it.
