Now we've selled our GREAT center back Pepe to Real Madrid for 30M €, so Quaresma won't leave Porto this season... but if an irrefusable like the one to Torres or even more appears who knows.. Why my club doesn't have money like yours???

And Porto also have Lucho Gonzalez with some offers from Valencia...

so we were too late really. had we gone after Quaresma 3 or 4 weeks ago, we may have got him, now the window of opportunity has passed.

maluda gone, Quaresma gone, looks like its either Simao or Manchini... or no-one.

Babel can play on the wing, but every ajax fan come on here, says he's not good enough for our first team yet, and also he's more of a striker than a winger. Quote from soccernet.com:

Yeah I read he was wanted by valencia.  I would not be a happy porto fan if all these players went.

I'm not happy. But FCPorto have some financials problems and some of them can be solved with this money.
Quaresma and Lucho wont leave Porto now.
If you had offered Quaresma 2 weeks ago 35M € he was already in LFC.
Now he wont leave this season... i think he will leave after Euro2008 for some good money.

Did Pinto da Costa say no more big names would leave before Pepe went?  Was he just referring to Lucho and Quarasema?

Yeah i just mentioned in the other post i very much doubt that Porto will sell any more big names from their squad unless they want to have a manless squad next season. With Pepe just recently sold to Madrid and Anderson going to the mancs, I just cannot see any more players leaving, and that means no Quaresma at least for this season anyway.

Thats the problem, I think its too late. Ok its not like we had all the time in the world to get him and no-ones to blame, but unless we have an amazing season next season and collect enough funds, I can't see him coming to Liverpool because we won't spend too much on one player, especially a winger.
