Uefa scam?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I wonder what compromise was reached between UEFA, LFC and the minister for sport on tuesday?

I dont think the issue was forgotten over a cup of tea as Gaillard had dug the hole too deep and LFC had to be seen to be backing the supporters which Parry, Hicks and Gerrard ably did and fortunately the minister supported us.

So what was the compromise - no action from UEFA against the club, a retraction of the accusation - but no acknolwedgement of the failings of either the match organisation, ticket distribution or stadium. Is this what LFC gave away - you make a public statement that borders on an apology and we'll stop pressing the point that your match and stadium organisation was a disaster and that a tragedy was mercifully averted?

... until it happens again next year for the UEFA Cup final, or CL final or European Championships 2008??

UEFA have lost face to save their asses but made no acceptance of any blame concerning the ticket allocation, policing, unsuitable stadium, no turnstiles etc..

UEFA won therefore, they stopped calling us names and we stopped accusing them of incompetence and telling them they were lucky people didnt die. Until next time....
