FANTASTIC RESULT.

We looked really up for it today, and our effort and intensity was far higher than Arsenal's for the entire match. Crouch was immense and thoroughly deserved his, what must be said, outstanding hat-trick. One with the head, and one each with both feet. His touch, vision and finishing was a sight to behold, best display ever in a red-shirt IMO. Macherano looked good for the tiem was on, nothing out of this world but he worked hard and put in a solid performance. Other special mentioens to Aurelio and Pennant who were both very good today IMO. I hope Auerelio can continue that sort of form from now and into next season, he will definitely make the left back slot his own if he does.

The only disappointme for me was Mark Gonzalez, who failed to deliver much yet again (bar an excellent cross for Crouchies second). He has a lot of work to do IMO if he wants to be here next season.

All in all, we've played very well today. The main difference I've seen is the pace of our breaks. We've been well balanced through most of the game, but the danger came when we broke and broke with speed. Aurelio, Gonzo, Pennant, Arbeloa and Gerrard all sprinting up the pitch when we got the ball really made a difference today.

Crouch took his chances very well. And although our whole team played well, probably justifies man of the match award as it is no easy feat to score 3 against arsenal. He still has his critics, some days he misses those chances, some days he gets them. but at the moment, considering we hadn't scored in the last three games - and all three games were without crouchie - he's gotta start more games

Before Zenden came on in the 2nd half, I thought the midfield 4 played very well. Gonzalez didnt have a great match, but I think that was one of the best performances we've seen from him so far. Mash and Xabi controlled the centre, and even Pennant looked dangerous on the right when going forward.

Aurelio and Arbeloa looked very confortable at left and right back respectively, and both got forward well.

Very happy now.  :)

Probably the same formation, with Finnan instead of Arbeloa, Kuyt for Crouch, and maybe Riise for Gonzalez. Not more than 3 changes.

Sounds about right, Sissoko may get a run though with either Mascherano or Xabi sitting out (probably Mascherano).

Yeh, If Alonso was sat down is probably thinking in the next game.

Sissoko might have a spot, but for this formation I preffer Mascherano.

Rafa has a wide tactic books, we don't even know if he'll use 2 strikers or this again. At leasi I, can't tell what he'll do, I guess it depends on the analysis they make of the oposition.

great performance today, well done crouchie. him, gerrard, pennant, masch and aurelio all had great games today, and alonso, arbeloa and gonzalez (don't get why a couple of people have criticised his performance today ??? ) played well too. nice to see all 4 goals come from wide areas as well!!

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

Great result we needed to put em back in their place and did, f*ckin new we`d tonk em had a tener on three nil so more than a little pi$$ed off with their tapin, but who could deny Crouch his hatrick he was superb just what does the lad have to do to convince some that he`s a great asset to LFC.
Supprised how little credit Gonzales has got on here this afternoon i thought he looked for the first time like the player we all thought we had signed, well done lad!
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,

I'm really happy with the result as well, that is without a doubt the best performance this season, we looked fluid and cohesive as a unit. I really think we should play this formation some more. It was good to see Crouch at his best as well but why can't he play like that all the time. That header is what I've been missing from him, with his height if he can head like that week in week out there is not a defnder in the league who could possibly stop him legally.
The only weak point was Gonzo, he still looks very weak but Pennant seems finally to be finding his feat and I really like the look of Arbelola, top class signing form Rafa.

All in all very happy and I too shall be having one too many drinks tonight :-)
