I have no doubt that Moores and Parry have the clubs best interest at heart. Selling Fowler for the price they got (it was stated in the following AGM that the price was closer to 13Mil then 11Mil) was an excellent piece of business considering he was on a serious physical decline, and they have always given the manager ample time and finance.
My criticism of them comes from the fact that they have failed to capitalise on the boom of the Premiership’s world wide appeal, Liverpool Football Club is still a huge brand and they haven’t exploited that to the fullest, I know it comes in tandem with what happens on the field but that is also their responsibility ultimately. Also, the way the squad size and subsequently the wage bill inflated under Houllier was unacceptable, there must be boundaries that manager should work within, players needed to be sold before more came in. The handling of the stadium has also been disappointing, it has dragged on so long and probably cost us so much money already without a brick being laid let alone the finance being prepared.
Saying all that, I have no doubt that Moores is trying to maximise the benefit achieved by the club with any takeover, if he feels we should be getting more than what DIC offered than he obviously feels that other parties will go further than what’s on the table and will be good for LFC in the long term.
i think yes what about you
