Even though its two weeks ago I've just read it and fecking love that. I'm gonna use it over here and if you don't miind I'll claim it for me own.
Just a quick update and firstly let me say thanks to the poeple off here who've pm'd me to wish us all the best. You're a good old bunch despite what everyone saysAnyways, we've been running around a bit what with trying to sort out bank accounts/a house/a car/schools for the kids and jobs all simultaneously. During this period I haven't seen any football whatsoever and have therefore kept schtum on the grounds that I haven't got a clue or a valid opinion visa-vis current happenings. That's generally been my motto in life, if you haven't got a clue keep your ignorance to yourself and don't advertise it. Judging by some of the comments and reactions, one or two others could do with adopting this policy but that's for another time.
Anyways I got a job today. It's quite cool, I'm working for the biggest estate agents in Christchurch in their business brokerage dept. After a thankfully brief period back in college to get my ticket I'll be selling small to medium sized businesses in the South Island. It's something I'm pretty interested in anyhow and I've got a bit of experience in the field so I'm really happy. We've bought a car (an old Toyota thats like a big automatic tank) and opened bank accounts. The house search is narrowing down to one particular area and the kids are settling in great. The parks and pools and all other facilities here are incredible compared to dear old blighty. Get this, four of us (me Sarah and the two kids) to get into the QE11 pool (which has slides, wave machines, rapids etc etc) is $4, or about one pound fifty all in. Apparantly it's a bit more if you don't take the kids, take 'em and the price comes down. It's cool and despite the fact that the sports coverage over here is rubbish, the move is great and we're loving it so far. Take it easy guys, Mick.

Sadly, if forced at knife-point, I think I'd stick that in my gob ahead of a plate of sprouts and margarine!![]()
