Isn't it already 2007 over his way?  Hell, he probably already knows who we've signed in the January transfer window!  Emigrating to NZ will add a whole new twist to Mick's "I know it's early but" threads.  :D

That's not true at all, in fact that's something Nick Griffin would say. I emigrated to Spain a few years ago now, I moved to the beautiful place of Valencia. I have embraced the Spanish culture too, I only eat and drink Spanish food, I'm learning to read, speak and write in Spanish although this is difficult as English in School, particulary reading and writing was never my strong point. I have left the Scottish culture in Scotland and taken up the Spanish culture. I love it, it's fantastic, the people of Valencia have made me feel very welcome, I'm happy here and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Spain is a much better place because of immigration. It's the same for anywhere else.

All I can say is god help Valencia when they have a knob like you living there, your probably telling porkies anyway, and live in a bedsit in Mosside drinking Lambrini and cheap cider all day, and stink of cabbage, sprouts and margarine.

Cabbage sprouts and margarine :D :D Even though its two weeks ago I've just read it and fecking love that. I'm gonna use it over here and if you don't miind I'll claim it for me own.

Just a quick update and firstly let me say thanks to the poeple off here who've pm'd me to wish us all the best. You're a good old bunch despite what everyone says  Anyways, we've been running around a bit what with trying to sort out bank accounts/a house/a car/schools for the kids and jobs all simultaneously. During this period I haven't seen any football whatsoever and have therefore kept schtum on the grounds that I haven't got a clue or a valid opinion visa-vis current happenings. That's generally been my motto in life, if you haven't got a clue keep your ignorance to yourself and don't advertise it. Judging by some of the comments and reactions, one or two others could do with adopting this policy but that's for another time.

Anyways I got a job today. It's quite cool, I'm working for the biggest estate agents in Christchurch in their business brokerage dept. After a thankfully brief period back in college to get my ticket I'll be selling small to medium sized businesses in the South Island. It's something I'm pretty interested in anyhow and I've got a bit of experience in the field so I'm really happy. We've bought a car (an old Toyota thats like a big automatic tank) and opened bank accounts. The house search is narrowing down to one particular area and the kids are settling in great. The parks and pools and all other facilities here are incredible compared to dear old blighty. Get this, four of us (me Sarah and the two kids) to get into the QE11 pool (which has slides, wave machines, rapids etc etc) is $4, or about one pound fifty all in. Apparantly it's a bit more if you don't take the kids, take 'em and the price comes down. It's cool and despite the fact that the sports coverage over here is rubbish, the move is great and we're loving it so far. Take it easy guys, Mick.

Nice one Mick . Never been to  NZ but a friend of mine who's worked all over the world (oil/gas exploration) rates it as the best place he's ever been to , particularly the South Island . Mind you, the dopey f'ucker isn't into footy  :p  :D .

btw,You mention getting your ticket , is that similar to the real estate licence they have in the USA ?
