"Benitez is a winner and might leave Liverpool for a serious project-Agent"

Inter and AC Milan are looking to the future. Besides scouring Italy and the rest of the world for new players, the two Milanese clubs may also be pondering a change of manager for their respective teams. When talking about a new manager for AC Milan, the names mentioned are Van Basten, Lippi and even Spalletti. Quite a few options are also mentioned for Inter Milan. After having his position questioned for months, it now seems as if it is Roberto Mancini himself who wants to leave Inter Milan. In recent days Mancini has admitted that he would like to have a go at managing a club in the Premiership. In that case Inter Milan would have to look for a replacement. Last year, besides talk of Mourinho, a name that consistently popped up in Moratti's circle is that of Rafael Benitez the Liverpool manager, one of the most successful managers at club level in recent years.

Benitez's agent, Manuel Garcìa Quilòn, in an exclusive interview with calciomercato.com talks about the Spanish manager who has won so much in his career, despite his relatively young age.

"Benitez is a very well prepared manager. He works 24hrs a day and prepares his teams tactically like few other managers in the world do. Just look at what he has won. The league and UEFA Cup with Valencia and in 3yrs at Liverpool he has won the Champions League, Super Cup and FA Cup."

Manuel Garcia Quilon does not comment when asked about the reported interest shown in Benitez by Italian clubs. He does however say "Benitez would be very well adapted to manage in Italy, with his preferred style of play. He is one of the 3 best managers in the world and if an interesting proposal regarding a serious project had to come up we would certainlyt take it into consideration. Yes, in this case he may well even leave Liverpool.  The Spanish coach is under contract with the English club until 2009.

Manhattan could win Serie A as a manager.

All I need is some money.

To buy a good striker, goalkeeper, referee and linesman.

I read today in the times that Rafa address speculation to Italy yesterday after the match re affirming that he is happy here.

Is it me or does not a single month go by now without speculation for Rafa leaving. This has to be the 3rd time this season already that he keeps getting linked with other clubs.

Problem is that in Italy all the teams just rotate the managers around evey :censored: season so you have a case where all the top managers have managed the big teams at least once.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Lippi at AC next year.

Although Mad in manhatten's quote is taking the p!ss, it actually points out the reason why our manager probably wouldnt ever be interested in managing in serie A. The league is corrupt, the penalties handed out will not deter future bungs being paid either.
Added to the fact that Rafa is a family man who probably wouldnt fancy uprooting to another different country with a new language to learn again.
He is going nowhere....just the usual sh!tty speculation...probably because we have won 5 on the bounce.

Bolllocks agen talk. Hope Rafa has a word with him.

Doesnt he realise he wont be idolised and loved as much there the way they chop and change managers over there. And if he wanted to get away from Valencia becasue of board members interferring in matters then Italy is the last place to go.

Moratti is an idiot who has spent a fortune and won nothing.

And as for AC. Well there lucky to be in the top flight this season let alone trying to snatch out managers.

Too many big egos over there wont go down nicely with Rafas way of managing.

Agents should be banned from talking to the press unless under the instructions of the player/manager. They do nothing but to worsen situations and sometimes create something bad out of nothing.

I rememer when Figo left for Madrid that was never true intent but it started from an online poll to Madrid fans to see who they would like to see at their club and look what happened there.
