To be fair to Mr Pringles his nickname comes from what he puts on his autographs rather than his abilities as a keeper, "safe hands" appears to be a goalkeeping version of good luck..... :O

Without a doubt Ray Clemence, Best Goalie we've ever had..... and NOT a HINT of him ever throwing a Game in his life!

Kept 323 clean sheets in 665 appearances., as opposed to Brucie's (Pay me on the side alledgedly!) 267.

ray clemence for me. the guy was absolutely outstanding. would have got many more caps for england if it wasn't for the emergence of peter shilton.
