5000th   post - Its taken time

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby drummerphil » Tue Oct 03, 2006 3:29 am

This is my 5,oooth post and if all things had been equal, without my illness and long hospital stays continued with my limited showings nowadays,I reckon this would be closer to 10,000 if the truth be known.I firstly acknowledge many friends who died on the 15th April 1989 at Hillsborough in Sheffield, I was there and never will there be such an event in my heart that can ever be even left alone until JUSTICE for the 96 people and loved ones left is finally dealt.

Secondly…I myself am dying, dying of an awful disease we know as brain cancer. An hour rarely passes I’m not reminded how awful it is.I have been suffering 16 months with various forms of cancer and although I have a terminal one.96 familes of brothers, sisters, mums, dads and loved ones have suffered  17 years of heartache and trauma and it now needs finally sorting.
Finally I thank again the constant support I get on this forum you make it all far easier to bear and I hope our relationship has many years yet…………………

THANKYOU

Phil, I think I can be presumptuous enough to speak for us all when I say I don't think there is a single regular on this forum who's life you haven't touched in one way or another with your incredible displays of courage in the face of unbelievable turmoil while still managing to keep your posts dry and witty. You are truly a remarkable man and I for one feel honoured to have corresponded with you.

Walk on fella, here's to 10K!

Phil, 5,000 posts does deserve it's own thread as it is a real milestone on here. There aren't that many other posters on here that have reached that amount or gone beyond. You are one of the premium posters on here and whenever I look at the 'New Posts' screen and see the name DRUMMERPHIL as the latest poster I know it's gonna be a post well worth reading.

Here's to the next 5,000 posts and many beyond that!!  :bowdown
