Too many times tonight I watched the Newcastle keeper (Harper) taking goal kicks and all 20 outfield player were in a confined area of the pitch all bunched together.
Away teams love to do this because it's far easier to defend against.
And because when the oposition is outplaying you and you don't know to get away of their pressure and moving the ball controlled to your midfielders, it gives you the chance of having a break, and stepping up your line of defence again when you're too deep and "besieged" by the oposition.
