Lucas Neill. Canny believe that.? Especially on the back of what happened on Saturday with him.
Ive never rated him as a player, and his attitude is not great either.

Super Rafa will soon iron him out.

Oasis - can you honestly see Carragher being happy to play right alongside that dirty, useless w*nker? FFS - he broke his leg in one of the worst challenges in history.

I sometimes wonder where your loyalties lie. ???

I reckon there was about as much truth in Barca being interested in Neill as there was about them making a move for Breen after the  2002 WC. Utter Bollox that one and I think Neill coming to LFC is utter bollox as well. The club must surely know that he's one of the most hated players out there by the fans after gary 'thecunt' neville.

Who next? ??? ROBBIE SAVAGE!  :suspect:  :sniffle  :sniffle

I'm not basing my opinion on this, I don't include World Cups and other International tournements when rating a player.  :;):

In my book, he'd make a great addition to the team.

Well if your basing your ratings on his premiership status you've got an ......... Average dirty Kunt.

I beg to differ.  :;):

Are you an Ozzie Oasis?

Dont ..............

Wait til all the Aussies here this, they'll be banging the drum for him to sign   :no   :sniffle

BS Mate,

I'm an Aussie, and I can't stand the pr1ck!! He's a twit, responsible for many injuries in the past, and also SOLELY responsible for our elimination out ot the World Cup by needlessly going to ground in the penalty box for a tackle.

Breaking Carra's leg was not an accident. He still hasn't learnt anything from that, and continues to fly in with dangerous tackles.

He is a loose cannon! And an Idiot!

Breaking Cisse's leg to ruin his first season with us was a disaster.

He is a loose cannon!

It wasn't him who broke Cisse's leg, mate. It was some youth player who was playing at left-back.

A few reports in Aussie Land about the twit! Touting Tottenham as the likely move. no mention of Liverpool, thank God!

Neill turns down Rovers offer

The dramatic rise of Socceroos star Lucas Neill is expected to reach further heights with the Australian defender set to become a major target on Europe's transfer market.

Neill's agent Peter Harrison said the 28-year-old - widely regarded as Australia's best player at the World Cup - had rejected a long-term offer to remain at Blackburn beyond the coming English Premier League season.

Neill has less than a year to run on his current deal, with Rovers now almost certain to cash in on the defender on the transfer market, rather than allow him to walk out on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Tottenham looms as Neill's most likely destination, with recent reports linking the club to the Australian.

Spurs have had a recent bid for Wigan defender Pascal Chimbond turned down, adding further to speculation they would now target Neill. But the London club said they had not made any official bid.

Rovers manager Mark Hughes gave Neill and fellow Socceroo Brett Emerton, who has been linked to Middlesbrough and also has less than a year left on his current contract, a two-week deadline to decide their futures at Blackburn earlier this week.

Neill, however, needed only a few more days to decide before opting not to sign a new deal with the club.

"They have made an offer which Lucas has declined - he is not going to be signing a new contract at Blackburn," Neill's agent Harrison told Sky Sports.

"He has enjoyed his time there, he loves the club and the fans and he is happy there, he just feels it is time for a change in career."

"If he has to stay he will have to stay, but this is not about money at all."

"There will probably be more talks before the end of August, but it doesn't look as if he will stay, but as always he will continue to do his best for Blackburn."

Neill joined Blackburn in 2001 after playing more than 150 games in six seasons for Millwall.

He captained Rovers in the final two games of the 2005-06 season, and has played 197 first-team matches for the club.

Neill's stock, though, increased dramatically at the World Cup, where he earned world football acclaim in Australia's surge to the second round.

His World Cup, however, ending in heartbreak when he was controversially ruled to have brought down Italian defender Fabian Grosso in the penalty box during the final minute of Australia's round-of-16 loss to Italy. Italy won 1-0 after Francesco Totti buried the penalty.

Neill undecided about club future

Australian defender Lucas Neill is still unsure of his future with Blackburn Rovers just two weeks before the new English Premier League season gets underway.

The 28-year-old Neill, who was a key performer in helping Australia reach the second round of the World Cup in Germany, is out of contract with Rovers at the end of the upcoming season and is eligible for a free transfer in January without a new deal.

"He (Blackburn manager Mark Hughes) has stated that he wants me to stay and he would rather let me go on the free (transfer) but I don't know if that's just a starting point for talks or not," Neill told Sydney radio.

Hughes was reported on Thursday to have offered Neill and fellow Australian Brett Emerton fresh contracts extending beyond next season and urged them both to decide before the new campaign started.

Neill was linked with a move to European champions Barcelona after the World Cup, following in the footsteps of ex-assistant Socceroos coach Johan Neeskens, who has joined Frank Rijkaard's coaching set-up at the Nou Camp.

But he dismissed the reports and said the coming season was an interesting prospect if he remained at Ewood Park.

"It was exciting last year to be a part of Blackburn and there's no doubt with a couple of the signings we have had this year it's going to be another good season."

"But I have to fit into (Hughes's) plans and he might want money for me."

"But it's an interesting situation that I have never experienced before."

Neill, touted as a future Australia captain, joined Blackburn from London side Millwall in September 2001 and has made 197 appearances for the Lancashire club.

Blackburn finished sixth last season and qualified for the UEFA Cup and open their Premier League campaign away to Portsmouth on August 19.
