Charlton capture Carson

Charlton have moved to solve their goalkeeping problems by snapping up Liverpool's Scott Carson.
Carson has agreed a season long loan deal with Charlton after agreeing terms and passing a medical.
Charlton moved for Carson after seeing their move for Norwich's Robert Green hijacked by West Ham.
Green looks set to move to Upton Park after West Ham agreed an undisclosed fee with Norwich for his signature.
Carson is well down the pecking order at Liverpool with Jose Reina and Jerzy Dudek ahead of him in Rafa Benitez's plans.
The former Leeds youngster spent three months on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last season and won a call-up to the England squad for the World Cup.
Liverpool are willing to loan him out so that he can gain valuable first team experience and Carson will hoping that by playing regularly at Charlton he can win his place back in the England set-up.
Oh well, that isn't too bad of a news really. He is a decent young keeper with lots of potential and should be getting experience elsewhere. I don't see him getting any first team opportunities with Reina being such a consistent goalkeeper for us. But surely we have to assume that Dudek would be staying with us or else we won't have a 2nd keeper with adequate experience?
