He's a big Red fan and I for one hate the tabloids, but this guy puts a Red spin on everything and isn't afraid to tell it like it is when he has to.

I've always taken anything in the national wraggs with a massive pinch of salt. Chris Bascombe is usually the first to confirm whether or not liverpool are interested in players and most of the nationals then rip-off his stories. When he first started out there are rumours (probably somewhere on here) that Houllier used to play on his in-experience by feeding him loads of bullshit to get him to report what he wanted about the internal goings-on of the squad but that soon back-fired on him and Bascombe was always eager to put the knife into Houllier whenever he could towards the end of his reign.

This fella certainly knows his stuff, whenever i read the echo he tells it like it is and his humour is top class.
