Cisse set for Marseille move
Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has agreed to join Marseille on loan, despite being ruled out for at least five months through injury.

Cisse is under contract with Liverpool until 2009 but was set to be sold off by Rafael Benitez before he broke his right tibia in France's World Cup warm-up match against China.

After the extent of the injury was revealed, any move away from Anfield was deemed unlikely, but French daily L'Equipe understands the two clubs have agreed terms on a loan switch.

The 24-year-old striker, who scored 18 goals for Liverpool last season, has accepted a salary cut as part of the loan, the report said, adding that he has long wanted to play for Marseille.

Crouch is a good player. A good player in the Championship that is. Not for the Premieship.

I am glad he is getting picked for England. I hate England I hope they crumble in the world cup, they will since they have a poor manager.
I am Scottish btw, not English.

You need to pull your willy out of Cisse's bum. Crouch has bought so much more to this Liverpool team than Cisse has. He links, builds up play, assists and scores goals. Cisse has pace and nothing more, simple as that. So if Crouch is  Championship player then Cisse is a Conference player.

I should of known you were Scottish, simply by the s.*i*e you go on about. Oh and at least England are able to qualify for the World Cup.

:talktothehand

We have a much smaller population than you. At least we have passion in our country.

It's just come to me...Graeme Noble must be that chubby kid in the new Adidas commercials*...you know the one where the two Latin American kids are picking teams for a game of footie and they have all the best players in the world, past and present to chose from?  So, the chubby kid wins first pick and who does he select...out of all the stars in the world of football?

Cisse!

That's you, isn't it lad? :p

* This ad has been airing constantly throughout the World Cup over here but I'm not sure how widely it has been distributed world-wide.

I loved the way the kid's face turned from laughter to disbelief when he saw Beckenbauer come out.

My understanding when a player involve these kind of Ads, they are in the Different Level or Higher Level . So far there's only two players from Liverpool and they are Steven Gerrand and Cisse.

One of the most important thing in Ads  (soccer)  is to "bring in" addaition money to the club. Cisse will go to Marseille very very soon and Adidas will "follow" him and automatic will "bring" in some cash to the club. If that happen, Liverpool will "lose" some cash and fate from Adidas.

Same goes to David Beckham. Real Madrid sign him NOT only because that he good player but the most important thing for Real Madrid is to "break" Asia market and especially China and Japan Market.

Next big "thing" in Asia is Chelsea ( how i wish its Liverpool ). They invest money in asia from one end ( middle east ) to the other  end ( Japan and Australia )
