Sporting Life are reporting he's going on loan to Marseille for the season.  That's as good a result as I could hope for so I hope it comes off.  He's reportedly taking a pay cut for the duration of the loan, so it'll free up some of LFC's funds to pay someone else's wages.

Samir Nasri - young (18 ???) Marseille midfielder being linked as a possible loan deal with Liverpool.

Would be great to see Cisse off the wage bill.  Also i think that his poor attitude would have a negative impact on the other players.  His comments before the WC were from a man that knew that he was on the way out.  His broken leg has put him in an unfortunate position that if he kept his mouth shut would helped him alot.

He's a midfielder, just turned 19.  Doesn't score many.

The fact that Morientes and seemingly Cisse will not be around next season leaves us with only 2 recognised strikers on our books - possibly 3 if FSP returns and makes an impact.  Would Rafa be so willing to offload 2 strikers so easily unless he was sure he could replace them by the start of the new season?  In my opinion it suggests that the signing of at least one forward is in an advanced stage.  Its cos Liverpool dont wave there transfer activity all over the back pages like some clubs that nothing has been picked up on yet.

How can you be happy about a deal, when you know nothing about the player supposedly coming in?
