Tottenham new boy Tomas Pekhart has revealed he snubbed Liverpool in order to seal a move to White Hart Lane.
The teenager will leave Slavia Prague for Spurs in the summer after he decided against moving to Merseyside.
"I have dreamed about England since I was ten," said the 16-year-old striker. "It is great.
"I have known about Tottenham's interest for a long time. I was on trial there a year ago and these were the first contacts.
"Then we have been in touch. They have kept an eye on me so it was no big surprise for me.
"Yes [Liverpool were interested too]," he informed MF Dnes. "I have been on trial there too.
"It certainly helped that Tottenham and Slavia Prague have the same owners but there is a more familiar atmosphere in Tottenham.
"I cannot describe the atmosphere but the people have been very friendly to me and they behaved so much better to me than they did at Liverpool.
"I think I made the right decision."
Martin Jol has already told Pekhart that he will start in the reserves.
"I know there is big competition," he added. "They have Jermaine Defoe, Mido and Robbie Keane, but I am not scared."
