Rafa to madrid ? - On your bike galacticos....

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Dundalk » Sat Feb 25, 2006 11:50 pm

Madrid can f*ck away off and get someone else, he is with us and is staying where he is wanted..

From Liverpoolfc.tv...

Rafael Benitez has tonight responded to speculation in Spain that Real Madrid hope to appoint him as their new manager in the summer.

The front page of Spanish newspaper 'Marca' has today claimed Madrid will move for Benitez at the end of the season and lure him back to his homeland.

"I've seen the story in the Spanish press and I want to make my situation absolutely clear to the Liverpool fans," Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv. "There has been no contact from Real Madrid with either me or my agent.

"I'm completely focussed on the three competitions we're still involved in and all I'm interested in is winning games - starting tomorrow against Manchester City - and nothing else."

Would Rafa go to Madrid? Would Rafa want to work in an environment which was worse that in Valencia?

He left Valencia partly because of his well documented problems their set-up and their sporting director.

Real Madrid is worse. Perez is a meddling fool, buys players that his coach does not need, buys players who sells shirts, forces his coach to play these players and balmes the coaches when everything goes wrong. He sacks all of his coaches - successful ones like del Bosqe, and failures like the rest who he fired under his tenure.

I don't believe Benitez is that dumb to walk into a far worse working environment.

If Barca (who has in the past given their coaches a lot of leeway and indulgence and bought players their coaches wanted) comes a calling, I'd be more worried.

Would Perez let Rafa sign Peter Crouch?
Would Perez let Rafa persist playing an under performing Fernando Morientes for 39 games without a goal?
The answer is a big fat NO.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

we have got to realise that madrid is his dream job one day.

he isn't going anywhere because he knows that he has a free range when it comes to transferes and team selection, and i think the passion of support will make him stay until he has achieved greatness

i will start to worry only if Perez is not the chairman for madrid...

you don't need a fool to tell you in madrid the manager only job is to coach...the rest...is up to the "upper" board...
