rafa is going nowhere, the set-up at madrid would hardly attract him...a bunch of ald tw,ats and has beens.
rafa loves liverpool and once said he wants to stay here for the next ten years he wont leave until hes brought the glory days back to anfield...trophies every season he knows the history of the club and respects its values and heritage and therefore he will stay for the long term to ensure that the club gets the success it deserves

I doubt Rafa will leave us and if he does then it won't be until he has achieved what he has set out to do with Liverpool or his contract expires. Real Madrid seem like a very unstable club at the moment and I'm sure Rafa isn't stupid enough to leave a stable club like Liverpool for an unstable club like Madrid and Benitez doesn't seem the type of person to leave a job half finished.

I can however see him becoming their manager one day, whether it's in four years time or in fifthteen years time I can still see him becoming their manager. So appreciate him whilst he's around coz he won't be here forever.

I'd hate to be a cynic though, but to thoroughly dissect his  comments on the LFCtv website... it's his typical non-commital answers... It neither points to aye or nay.... But i like the looks of what he's been doing and I really hope he stays for a long time.

Would Perez let Rafa persist playing an under performing Fernando Morientes for 39 games without a goal?
The answer is a big fat NO.

Would Perez give Rafa more money to buy a world class striker? (no disrespect to Crouchinho)
Would Rafa stick with Morientes if he had Ronaldo, Raul, Robinho or Baptista on the bench?

I'd be more worried if Barcalona were sniffing around but it'd be nice for Rafa to say outright that he's not interested!

The fact that he said in the Summer that he wishes Steven Gerrard to take over as coach when he steps down indicated that hes here for many years to come. He has something special at this club and he knows it, plus hes knows theres more money on the way soon with the usual summer transfer kitty plus money from players moving out, the adidas deal and a possible investor which Rick Parry commented about the other day. He said a deal was close but he dint want to say anything until it was sorted 100% so money wise things are gonna be on the up and up come the summer and its not like were playing badly rightnow so Rafa should be quie happy id imagine if it wernt for the lack of goals.

Perez resigning is a worry, but then again, any manager interested in the job would be best waiting for the presidential election to be completed.

Get used to it: Rafa's name will be prominent on the lips of the candidates for the Presidency.

I think it's fairly obvious that for Rafa, Madrid is his ultimate dream job. Sofar they haven't, but if they do come seriously knocking on the door, asking for permission to speak to him  etc etc then he is going to find it very difficult to resist IMHO.
My hope and suspicion is however that he will. Liverpool is a work in progress and by the looks of things, we are probably in year two of a four year project interms of building an absolute top quality team/squad. He also gets stability and love which he knows comes and goes at Madrid. Equally importantly, aren't his kids mid-schools sort of age? Maybe when the eldest is 11 and looking to change schools, the Benitez family may feel it's time to go back to their roots.
For now and a couple of seasons at least, my bet would be that he stays and God knows I hope I'm right.
