I'm shocked at the moment

According to this, Lendoiro the Deportivo president acknowledges that Liverpool contacted him for Victor and there might be a deal soon!

Hold on, I'll come back later.

Of course we have seen him play. He's what we call an "interior" right. Kewell would be a pure winger, while what's doing Gerrard is the work of an "interior" midfielder.

He's about 29. He's a good player, with character and personality. I did quite expect a pure winger though. He scores goals. He has been international in Spain about 12 times or something, but not quite a regular. Good signing, gives depth, but don't expect he improves what we already have ??? I wonder what are the plans for Luis Garcia now.

RUmour has it that Gonzalez is on his way to Deportivo

Basts .As we have the best scouters, and the best eye for footballing, then there's this Deportivo-Valencia teams with no youth systems, that are always willing to feck us with their bloody money

They don't need Gonzalez. They have that place well covered. They sell Victor, because he doesn't want to renew his finishing contract in lower wages, not because he's crápThey do not need Gonzalez, yet they always want to feck us. Gonzalez might not have so many minutes in Deportivo. Be warned. Still a rumour, though. Although many sources say it's certain. A swap (on loan in Gonzalez's case)

I'm gutted , sorry guys, I just wanted that badly needed position in my team well covered. Now we'll struggle.

Relax Sabre, we may not swap for Gonzales neccesaraly based on the newest reports:

Sporting Life
LIVERPOOL CLOSE ON VICTOR

Speculation is rife in Spain that Deportivo La Coruna winger Victor could be due to arrive on Merseyside for talks with Liverpool over the weekend.

Rafael Benitez has seen moves for Seville winger Daniel Alves, Atletico Madrid's Luciano Galletti and Benfica's Simao Sabrosa fail to materialise, prompting the Spaniard to switch to Sanchez del Amo Victor.

The player has been pulled out of the trip to Madrid for the weekend clash with Atletico and the former Real Madrid player, who has recently returned to fitness following a thigh injury, is expected on Sunday to discuss terms and undergo a medical.

A three-and-a-half-year deal is likely and Benitez will hope to wrap up the deal before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday.

And more:
arget due on Merseyside to discuss Liverpool transfer

Deportivo La Coruna winger Victor is expected to arrive on Merseyside within the next 24 hours to discuss a move to Anfield.

The 29-year-old Real Madrid academy graduate has pulled out of the Deportivo squad that has travelled to Madrid for the weekend clash with Atletico and it is rumoured that he's on a flight to the North West.

Victor is a very fast, skilful player who can play on either wing. He's been a regular for Deportivo mainly on the right side of midfield for the last five seasons. He made his international debut with Spain in February 2000.

Liverpool have until Tuesday evening to conclude a deal.

No, A.B. As hours passes, the "swap" is more than a rumour. :(

And now we're going to sign up a Pompey player for my dismay . And a not playing one "Viafara", that is a defensive midfielder . I hope his problem is adaptation or english, because I cannot see otherwise how a sub of Pompey can help my team.

First of all I would like to say hi to everyone on this board, greetings from A Coruña!

After the rumours about a possible move from Víctor to Anfield, some members on our forum took a look on LFC-forums to get an idea about the latest news concerning this transfer and knowing what you, as LFC-fans, think about him.

Well, somebody wrote a link to this board and here I am, taking a look.

I decided to register after reading some crapy posts from user 'Sabre'.

Just want you to tell some things:

- Don't worry, I don't think that Lendoiro wants Mark González on loan without an option to buy him later this year.

- Who told you that Víctor didn't want to renew his contract!? No sir, he didn't get an offer from the club, even not in lower wages.

- Why do you think that González won't have too much minutes at Depor? I'm sure he would. He can play on the left, moving for example Munitis to the right wing or on Valerón's place, who is out for the rest of the season. And then again: it's just a rumour from some newspapers, there's no official confirmation from neither Liverpool or Depor that he's gonna be loaned out to Depor if Víctor joins Liverpool. But once again: the loan of González would only be accepted by Depor if coach Caparrós is interested in him and it seems like he is. So that would mean that he gets minutes to play.

- Stop telling :censored: about Real Sociedad and other clubs like Valencia and Depor. The best scouters and the best eye for footballing in San Sebastián!? Haha, that's a good one!
And for your information, Valencia has a good youth system and Depor is working hard on it after not paying any attention to their youth in the past 10-12 years.
As for the 'bloody money' from Valencia and Depor, I would like to say that I'm pretty sure that Depor don't have a single € more to spend than for example Real Sociedad.

So please, just give a neutral view about these things or just shut up if you don't know about what you're talking.

Cheers
Valerón

That's what you say.

National press. *shrug*

Karpin (wanted by Valencia), Nihat (wanted by Valencia) , Kovacevic, Kodro, Aldridge, and now Skoubo are some of the names we have signed in the last 20 years and made an impact in the liga, you deluded idiot.

Gonzalez is not meant to play the Valeron role, you must know little football if you assume that. Munitis is a decent winger, so that's why I said you have that place covered.

And for your information, Valencia has a good youth system and Depor is working hard on it after not paying any attention to their youth in the past 10-12 years.

And this statement is based in which names in the last 20 years? Working hard on it Deportivo? don't make me laugh. When Toshack went there Lendoiro didn't concede him even the construction of new training grounds, as the ones they had were pathetic

So please, just give a neutral view about these things or just shut up if you don't know about what you're talking.

I don't think so. I won't shut up, or is your view neutral or something? Feck off primera division newcomers.

Your team has always been a segunda team. Lendoiro spent lots of money of dark sources, and that will eventually end. And you'll return to where you belong. The Segunda Division.

KNOWN FACT VALERON: Deportivo is a team from Galicia (a nice Spanish region) that plays with no galician players (Fran was a decent one but one in  20 years...). And they're working hard on it. mwaHahahahaha

Valencia, a team that has a decent youth system, yeah right, how many come from the youth system in this list?

Cañizares   Mora

Butelle

Miguel   Fabio Aurelio

Ayala   Marchena

Marco Caneira (on loan)   Carboni

D. Navarro   Curro Torres

Moretti

Albelda   Baraja

Regueiro   Jorge López

Vicente   Hugo Viana

Rufete   Albiol

Edu

Villa   Kluivert

Angulo   Mista

Aimar   Di Vaio (on loan)

As I said, feck off. And don't even dare to say that Vicente comes from Valencia, because he's a Levante player. Albiol is from the youth system, but he can't play due to an accident.

So is Angulo and Albelda (they are  not xabi ALonso anyway) but if they have a decent youth system, then I'm the king of Spain

Deluded idiot?

After reading your quotes I assume that you're not worth any other reaction by me.

Poor forum if you're the Primera División-specialist here!

Yeah right. I assume calling a post "crapy" is respectful in La Coruña.

And I'm not a pundit, just a supporter of Real Sociedad and Liverpool. If the mates value me, it's up to them.

Powerful arguements  yours. :)

Victor is a good player, who impressed highly in Europe for Depor over the years.

I remember a rumour that Ferguson wanted to sign him for UTD whe Beckham left.

He's 29 though, so I suspect that its a stop gap signing for 18 months or so.

The thing I remember most about Victor was that he was an excellent crosser of the ball.

Real Sociedad have agreed loan deals with Liverpool for Mark Gonzalez and Portsmouth for John Viafara.

Gonzalez has been widely tipped to move back to Spain after failing to secure a work permit in England.

He joined The Reds from Albacete during the summer, but has so far been unable to commence his Anfield career.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has now agreed to loan the Chile international to Sociedad until the end of the season in the hope he might be able to secure an EU passport in time to play for the Merseysiders next season.

Viafara has also consented to a move to the Anoeta after failing to establish himself at Fratton Park.

The Colombian international was brought to Pompey by Alain Perrin last summer, but has found himself frozen out since Harry Redknapp took charge.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
