I'm not saying that I'm right and Rafa is wrong, because he's forgotten more about football than I'll ever know, but sometimes I think great managers can make silly mistakes. I do believe that is what cost us today, that, and the fact that ManUre showed more desire than we did.

Crouch had a dead leg and was taken off as a precuation.

Cisse has had plenty of time to prove himself but is failing. We could almost accept his inept performaces if he chased every ball and ran his bag off but lets be honest his workrate is non existent.

There was a moment today when Ferdinand got the better of him and passed back to their keeper. Instead of chasing Van Der Sar down he stopped runing, same old face pulling and gesturing, head down. Crouch chased after the keeper for him and we got a throw in their half as a result. There in lies the difference and that is why he should be moved on in the summer. He just does not want to know.

Aside from his lack of effort his all round play is poor. No first touch, no agression, no flair, really the only thing he has his pace, but he cant play to save his life guys. Then that horroible miss, well it was shocking at best.

the miss doesnt bother me, i`ve seen kenny daglish miss a far worse one at old trafford after alan hansen set him up a yard out and he somehow spooned it wide of the post.
i must admit though cisse seemed to be singing off a different song sheet than the rest of the team. he`s playing like a player short on confidence and one who feels he`s getting pushed out of the door, almost like kewell a year ago.
the problem for cisse (and for harry at half time in the CL final) is that when dissapointing things happen the player out of form tends to take the wrap for everything that goes wrong.
i think we are the second best side in the league and i saw nothing today from united to make me change my mind.
i`ve never been one for slagging off players in a red shirt.

off by this waste of £ 14 good solid millions of cash + his £ 3 million a year paypackage. I've said it countless times before. Offload this piece of garbage now. Some have criticized me in here after I've said that Cisse's value is 3-4 millions. They say he is worth 8. Well if you can come up with a team willing to give us 8 for this pile of poo, please do. Personally after having suffered through his 20th extremely bad game in a row I'd be surprised if we can find a manager willing to pay us more than 2 millions.

1. He never chases the ball or close down the opponent when they have the ball

2. He never position himself intelligently and therefore never gets in scoring positions. "Djibril, if you are listening to me lad please take notice. When there is played a long ball towards Crouch you should try to move in behind him and threathen the box. You should not challenge for the same ball as you did 3 times today, and you should not find yourself close to the touchline or outside his bloody range. Please correct this or I might strangle your azz"

3. He can't hit nothing with a clean intelligent and controlled strike.

4. I can't even see him threathen reasonably pacey defenders with his so-called quick feet.

FFS when we had Baros we at least had a person up there trying. Working his MF'n balls off for the club. Now we have a fancy hotpants more concerned about his hairstyle and his stock exchange investments.

today because a good striker or even just a decent or average striker would have won us the game. How did he not score on that chance and how did he manage to turn his back on that inch perfect cross from riise?

Don't give this wastebin more games, let him go on loan to Marseille for the rest of the season and hopefully they'll buy him in the summer.

I agree mate. This fella has done nothing and to think he is the most expensive player we ever purchased. He will be weeded out and moved on like so many of the lads from the previous regime. If only Rafa had that money to buy a forward now. Thing is the forward line is the most expensive position to fill and not sure how we are on fuding that right now. If we get get the right lads in then we wont half have a team. That one thing stopping us moving up a notch the forward situation. We wont get much for Cisse unfortunately as his displays will have depreciated him significantly now.

Cisse , i think, is definately gone at the end of the season. and he can take his banana boots with him.

I agree crouch should chip in with a few goals (he has recently) but you have to see what else he brings to the team! He gives us an option with is height, he's got good at link up play and he's got a certain amount of cleverness to his game. He's a good footballer and suits are system well. Benitez is an architecht, he builds his teams by selecting players carefully, he's trying to build a team that has a bit of everything to it so we always have "options". I agree we need a finisher, but if you think its as easy as just buying someone as good as schevchenko then your way off the mark.

no guarantee we are going to win those games in hand, or be consistent for the rest of the season.

some people think we can win the league by buying cheap alternative players, than paying 20m for some class!

im not convinced about harry kewell either, and dont think he will ever be good enough to play for us. he's far more interested in how many ponytails he can get on the back of his hair for some reason.

Im sorry if this has been said before as i just flicked through the thread, but I thought cisse played good when he was down the right side of the mid. Thats only IMO, but I thought his pace and crosses were good down the right.

Okay, in my opinion Cisse is not good enough for Liverpool. Justified by the fact that:

1) He hardly wins anything in the air for a relatively big bloke!

2) He moans if the slightest of things goes against him.

3) His finishing is on the whole poor (One good goal against BS does not a good striker make)

4) He doesn't look up enough when he's running with the ball and inevitably seems to lose posession.

Therefore no, without mention of fee or slagging the bloke off for none footballing reasons he isn't good enough to clean Rush,Dalglish or Aldridges boots!

i would rather have cisse in my team then crouch cisse hasnt been playing to well but neither has any of our strikers its been upto the midfeilders i.e gerrard alonso to score most goals althoigh rafe thinks overwise we do need a 20+ goal scoring striker i.e owen

I feel that Rafa handed him his last chance to prove himself at Old Trafford. He didn't take it, and now I feel that Rafa is justified in selling him. We need to finish off the simplest of chances, which we haven't been able to do for quite some time, even Owen, Fowler, Heskey, Mori, Crouch, Cisse have all been guily in recent years. Well, enough is enough. We need a world class striker at our club who is there to do that, put the easy balls away. Henry taps the ball in from close range almost on a weekly basis, Sheva, Et'o, all put the easy balls away. Why do we almost every match fluff the easiest chances. Points go begging, and at the most crucial period of our season, we need our strikers to stand up and be counted. And I'm afraid that Cisse, good as he is in France, is not cutting the mustard here, and I am sick of it, and sure as heck that Rafa won't start him again this season. Cisse and Mori will be gone by the start of next season.

basically i agree with a lot of you what u are sayin about patience wearing thin with cisse. but i guess rafa wouldnt keep him in the squad if HE thought it wouldnt work. we can say this and that, but at the end of the day, its a :censored:

brilliant squad. maybe the best yet.

i personally feel cisse is not a good enough player for liverpool and ive said this for ages. He can only put a ball in the back of the net if the ball comes to him and right in front of him. When he tries skillfull play (eg. kewell's kind of tricks THAT ACTAULLY WORK), he :censored:

it up. nearly everytime. BUT if benitez thinks he can work in the team and we can win, then i say keep him and let us get on with the rest of the season.

on the plus side, every part of the team, bar the strikers, were playin ok today and i mean, it should have been a nice 2-0 or so win, but who cares, we still have 2 games in hand, and there is no doubt we will catch the man u :censored:

and put them where they belong.

I don't know why everyone is so bloody confident that we will catch the scum cos of our two games in hand. We still have Aresenal and Chelski to go and personally, I would be happy with two points from those games - but a realistic target will definately be 4 points, if we get six i think we can count ourselves lucky.

We need a goal scorer in order to challenge for the title and constantly have the goods against the top teams. We do not have one as of yet so therefore we still have to be on our toes to get 2nd spot.
