I've got a feeling that Smith is gonna try and make a name for himself in this game.
I can see him crocking Xabi.

Cant wait for tomorrow, Man Utd are missing some good players, Scholes, Ronaldo, Park, and Smith is 50/50. Considering our central midfield and the fact that they have some key players missing, I would expect Fergie to go safe and play 3 in the centre. Cant see them chucking in Evra or Vidic.

I would expect Man Utd to line up like this:

                     Van Dar Sar

Neville Ferdinand Brown Silvestre

            Fletcher Smith O’Shea
Rooney                                     Giggs
                Van Nistelrooy

No need for us to make any drastic changes, we only have Zenden and Garcia missing.

I would like to see this team:

                     Reina

Finnan Carragher Hyypia Riise

Gerrard Sissoko Alonso Kewell

              Crouch Cisse

I think Rafa may also play this side, he prefers to use Cisse away, he said that his pace is more useful on the counter when teams come on to us rather than at home when teams defend deep and we need to carve them open using more intricate play.

Hope it isn’t a bore draw, I think we will see a 2-1 either way. I worry about Giggs, the guy is back on form and is showing some class, but central midfield is still looking really weak for them. No doubt they will try and stop Xabi dictating the tempo, so he can expect to be closed down quickly and should brace himself for some harsh challenges, Sissoko will give it back though, so we shouldn’t be out fought. Gerrard will be key as usual, interesting to see how they pick him up when he drifts inside, will Smith be given that responsibility? I cant see our strikers doing too much to be honest, they haven’t the quality to take on defences alone, a lot of responsibility for our attacking play will be on Gerrard and Kewell, they will be the key for victory in my opinion.

My prediction is 1-1 which I would take now!
Gerrad to score, wins me £120.00, Manure to sneak an equaliser late on. B@stards!

Good results for us today with Arsenal losing, and Spurs being held.

If we get a result tomorrow, we'll have a really good foothold on second place. Apart from Chelsea, the teams around us are playing into our hands, so we have to do our bit now.

I think we'll see a much-improved United tomorrow, but I can still see us sneaking a win.

This game is dicey, we havent beaten them for a while. I have a bad feeling for some reason.  always get a bad stomach feeling before we play the manc sh*t. Apart from stevie at 11/1 first scorer which is a snip, i fear a 0-0 or 1-1, or a 2-1 to the mancs.

over the past 3/4 years or so, we just can't seem to turn these f*ckers over for some reason!

if rafa plays the same formation he played at anfield the 4-5-1, the "fear of getting beat" formation, then i guarantee we wont win, it will prob be a draw. I just dont feel we are confident to beat the manc scum. whenever we play these, the "BIG GAME FEAR" sets into a lot of LFC players, you can see it when we play. we dont seem to settle properly and play our game. obviously i hope im wrong , but in front of 64,000 mancs it will be difficult.

i just have bad feelings when we play this sh*te, although we are supposed to be rock solid at the back we stilll lost 3 goals to Luton town!.
You just dont know.

my prediction is 1-1..or 2-1 either way. lots of bone crunching tackling, and maybe a brawl on the field.

57,000 thick b*stard Mancs are nothing compared to the 10,000-odd Scousers that will be there tomorrow.

Besides - regarding the "BIG GAME FEAR" - were the CL matches last season little?

I know what you are saying Lando, but it seems like a different approach to playing in Europe, as to when we face this sh*te. We just look apprehensive.

Im with you on this one -I get that sick feeling too,its only when we play the scum too. I think its the fear of losing  nerves
All them times under evans and houllier souness etc,I dreaded these games ,but NOT ANYMORE!
 BRING IT ON ! The likes of Rooney and co wont need much motivation for us -the fat git that he is. But their motivation might not be enough anymore cos we are a different outfit completely these days.
