Man ure v champions of europe

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby RAFABENITEZ » Sat Jan 14, 2006 10:39 pm

Next game at The Theatre of Delusion is gonna be very influential in if we are to finish second and push Chelsea, or finis 3rd with a now in form Arsenal behind us.
For the game at OT, we have to push them all the way. Its encouraging to hear that THE GREATEST PLAYER IN FOOTBALL HISTORY© is now suspended? Whatever te case we need to take advantage of Utds weak central area of midfield by playing the 4 2 3 1 system we usually play in games like this. Utd rely on the balls to Rooney, or the two wide men to open the space and if we can compress them enough an get tight on the back 4 and middle two, we should do well. So imo we need to go;
-----------------Reina-------------------
-Finnan-----Carra-----Hyypia-------Riise-
-----------------------------------------
-------Alonso---------------Sissoko-----
-----------------Gerrard----------------
-Cisse---------------------Kewell----
--------------Crouch--------------------

Burton to win 1-0 and pull the biggest shock in FA Cup this season??? Would be the thing for the Manure

If that happened we'd receive a massive backlash.
I'd rather they had an uninspiring win with a couple of injuries

I beleive I am not being to optimistic but Manure will need alot more than a backlash to beat the Champions of Europe!!

We're 1 point behind Man U with 2 games in hand. It would be a fantastic time to turn them over at Old Trafford.

To go 2 points ahead of them with 2 games in hand will be nice leeway with games against Chelsea and Arsenal coming up.

They're always dangerous on the back of a league defeat though. Should be interesting.

I'm not implying they'd beat us, I am implying that they'd be "up for it" even more than normal.
They raised their game for Chelsea and look what happened.

Effes, you do have a fair point there. I must admit I did not think of that I will settle for the injuries to their players  :eyebrow

This game defines the term 6-pointer. It will be crucial in deciding who finishes 2nd this season.
