I think the no.9 will be great on Cisse as it is really a striker no.
As someone there said it doesnt matter what no. he wears s long as he gets the job done.
If Cisse came Diouf would probably give him the no. 9.

He better deliver......

Cheyrou is not that bad a player-really he's not. What he has not done is performed for us consistently over a period(but then he's not been given a run in his 'natural' pos.) Biscan really needs to be moved on he's an effin liability!

Neither Hargreaves or Parker are the answer. Both are poorer versions of Steven Gerrard. What we need is real invention and creativety. IE a David Dunn or Joe Cole type player.

The central mid we need alongside Gerrard is Rafael Van Der Vaart.IMO this guy will be the best player in the world in a few years,even now he has awesome skill and vision and would make a great partnership with Gerrard.As far as Cisse is concerned everybody seems to forget he is dummy houlliers target and he wont be here next season so no Cisse either.By the way I think Cisse is a decent player but 14m is a joke we could get Van Der Vaart for that.Mark my words he will be a legend.If we cant get him Andy Reid from forest would be a great signing.

MEXES/GALLAS for center back

VAN DER VAART/PARKER for center mid

SALIHAMIDzIC/VAN DER MEYDE for right wing

CISSE/IBRAHIMOVIC for center forward

these are all realistic targets as Parker or Gallas might both be p#ssed of at lack of games and games out of position.
mexes will come if we finish fourth (he'll come anyways)
cisse I dont need to explain
van der meyde has lost his place because inter bought stankovic of lazio
ibrahimovic might want to come to england but we could only get him if we finish fourth as it would take a lot persuasion to get him to leave ajax the dutch champions this is also for van der vaart
salihamidzic has also had less games this season than last mostly because of hargreaves playing in right mid.
