WORLD CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2005 - official topic

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

What the EUROPEANS teams (not just Liverpool) would be without players of South America, Africa...and other contries?
Can u understand now?

They'd do ok. Many South Americans come to Spain, but also people from Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, from Cameroon, etc.

In my country there's a team, Bilbao, composed by only basques (that's why I hate them, they want our youngster diamonds since our factory is better than theirs) and have never been in second division and won titles, it'd be like a Tottenham Hotspur or something.

While you can do a team based on brazilians (Real Madrid) you can do a champion team with no brazilians (Liverpool) or one Brazilian (Barcelona)

In the world there are lots of good players.

Why do we bring south american people here? because they provided a good quality/price relationship, and language/culture issues mainly. In Brazil or Argentina there are houndreds of players that are not brilliant, but can fill a gap in a first squad team correctly. But if you ask me given the money, they're perfectly replaceable with some eastern guys, spanish, or Italians. But the latter and the english and the germans are expensive, so many teams have bought a south american at some point.

Barcelona has Edmilson, Silvinho, Deco (he was born in Brazil)...and, of course, Ronaldinho..not just one Brazilian..

About the price, conditions of life...I agree all this things you said..It's the reality...But some clubs like Sao Paulo, have a excellent struture...

There are a lot of expensive german or english players who are not so good like some "not expensive brazilian players"..

"In the world there are lots of good players." i agree..

In Brazil, people use to watch the spanish league, premier league..calcio..Bundesliga..
We love soccer...

However, i can see some guys who think we don't know their teams..anyway..doesn't matter..

By the way, i like very much the spanish league

(I get some portuguese since we have common root in Latin)

I think we don't underrate you (I'm not english though).

We all do appreciate what Brazil provides to football, we are not blind. But to be honest, when I hear you lot, you do think that in the rest of the world we play plain football. And thus it's not surprising some of us answer with some bantering. It's like the indoor football guys, you just cannot stand that Spain kick your :censored: and win the world cup, because you just think you're the best :)

About Sao Paulo, not that they are trying to underrate you, if they are saying that their concern is the EPL, is because they're pretty honest about it, nothing to do with arrogance or underrating, but long footballing tradition.

BTW, I made a big mistake about forgetting all those Brazilians in Barsa, I should have thought of a better example and take more time thinking about Barcelona :) sorry for that

That Scouser Mark fella?  I think he's a bellend, pardon the pun.  A joke like streaking works once, now he's just a sad tit.

What the fucks his surname?  Is it Roberts?  I've seen him at a few events like.  He's just annoying now running round with his mickey out as if it's the funniest thing in the world.

Roberts?  :D

I always knew he had it in him.  :D

These fanatic guys forget we have the best players, the best football..I'd be very very sorry and get laugh if you had just english players on your club..lol lol
Where did you think Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Juninho, Cafu, Adriano and all brazilian stars started to play? ???
Did you know them in five, ten years ago??
So..you even don't know the sao paulo players...how can you talk about them? It's so simple when people just subestimate others..but in this case you are talking about BRAZILIAN PLAYERS..don't forget it! ok?

We'd then probably be at Sao paulos level, or maybe not quite as good. It would probably be like a england v brazil game but with less quality. Given that not all those brazilians would play for sao paulo i pressume.

This is the reason why i think european teams are better. Not one person here has ever questioned the fact that south america has produced some quality players, but the best ones play in europe. European teams are made up of the best players from around the world not just their own country, so the players playing in europe and the leagues they play in are of a higher standard.

I think your patriotism towards brazil has misguided you from this clear fact. Even if you kept all your best players in south america european teams would still have the edge because we'd still have the best players from everywhere else. I suspect your team may have a class player or two but i find it highly unlikely that you have a team full of brazilian superstars. I think its more likely that the majority of your team wouldnt cut it in europe

"..you do think that in the rest of the world we play plain football. "

No..i don't think that..
There are many good teams in this World Cup...Italy, Argentina, England, Germany, Netherlands..and others..
Everything is possible in football...Brazil was favorite in 1982, but we didn't win..

" if they are saying that their concern is the EPL, is because they're pretty honest about it, nothing to do with arrogance or underrating, but long footballing tradition."

Ok..but if they fall down, it won't be cause they are concerned about EPL...LIverpool already shows they want to win this trophy

Italy did. Bloody Italians. Paolo Rossi, Tardelli. I was 7! , first football experience.

I'd like to discuss something. Is it just me? or football in 2005 is more cr*p than in the eighties?
Germany is not mighty any more, Spain can dream about beating Brazil (we didn't in the eighties), Italy is not what it used to be, Greece or South Korea make it to the last stages... I'm not so sure if all this things is just that things are leveled, that the all time mighties are not mighties any more, or both.

Ai, ai, ai, ai, ai...tá chegando a hora...o TRI já vem chegando meu bem e eu vou comemorar...:buttrock

You people forget that in 93 . Milan had a lot of foreigner players in their team. an exemple is the legendary goalkeeper Zubizarreta. Sao Paulo beat them , with only brazilian players.
So dont underestimate us. Sometimes will beats technique.

Other thing , you all (i mean liverpool fans) show no interest to the tournament. Man.United had no interest too in 99 , but when they beat Palmeiras , they had even a big celebreation in Manchester. This is all an excuse for a possible defeat to as you say , an inferior football club. You should remeber the defeat from Flamengo , humiliating you for the rest of the world for 3-0. It looked like LFC had no chance with Zico´s team.

Do not underestimate us. Or your shame will last longer.
