who's the best?

I would go for Jocky Hansen, i loved watching him play he was the most cultured defender with the ball at his feet and he deserved every honour he won for the club, an anfield legend!

(other contenders: Alex Raisbeck, Gordon Milne, Gary Gillespie, John Scales, Stephane Henchoz)

Without any shadow of doubt,Alan Hansen was the first centre-half on the  team sheet for the all time greatest Liverpool side.Magnificent player a joy to watch.

Hansen for me, no question. Is it any coincidence that Liverpool's decline began about the same time Hansen retired? ??? I don't think we had an adequate replacement until Hyypia and Henchoz formed their partnership.

Hansen is the best and very complimented by Lawrenson. These two are the ever best pairing at central defence for Liverpool.
