Now i like rafa, i think hes a great european manager, but something isnt right in the land of england in the games, and it isnt the players, weve seen what they can do. Rafa needs to get angry, have a go, and thats what we arent seeing. So leave garcia alone, and kewell for now, rafa is the one who needs to sort things out, and fast.

Any other team with this sort of record would be in dire straits, but as we are liverpool we can carry on blaming souness til 2020.

Rafa is getting ti wrong, simple as that.

dawson, start the thread then mate :idea

But he doesnt look a premiership player who can hold down a place consistently for 90 minutes.

Last 20 mins...spot on  :nod

After a MOTM display (according to one or two Sunday Papers and the official site) at the weekend against the Hammers, where are the people who wanted to burn Luis at the stake now?

Fickle fans or a one off performance from Garcia?

I think the former, as I am sure we will see tonight another excellent performance from a guy who seems made for European competition, and is improving in terms of the Premier League.

Hope your right Leon - we need players like Garcia and Nando to start showing their form, consistantly.

Luis Garcia is an Enigma just like John Barnes was for England , stop kidding yourself  Leon ,he's had a few good games especially at european level .
But in comparison to the premiership he is even more frustrating than Titi Camara.

He's a good player when he wants to be , but more often than not he is in and out of a game like a jack in the box .

I just think he has to develop more strength, and situation awareness.

i Have been critical of Garcia on many occasions, and the fact that he has had a couple of decent games makes me very very happy.

I don't want any Liverpool players to have a stinker.

As I have always said, he still gives the ball away too easily in the premiership but I think he will do ok tonight as the european stage definately suits his game more.  I also believe we will get more from him if he plays in the hole picking up loose balls as the lil' guy has a decent shot!

Good Luck Luis... prove me wrong.............. please
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I havent posted once in this topic cause Luis is one of my favs, he does frustrate he does give the ball away, but he runs his feckin @rse off when he does play, he is our play maker and he got us to the CL final last season.
Oh yer and he is quite cute, gorgeus and sexy  but I do love him.
ALL TOGETHER NOW............
LUIS GARCIA
HE DRINKS SANGRIA
HE CAME FROM BARCA
TO BRING US JOY
HE'S 5 FOOT 7
HE'S FOOTBALL HEAVEN
SO PLEASE DONT TAKE MY LUIS AWAY...............
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

I've been a consistent supporter of Garcia and think he's a fantastic player. His detractors this season have been justified however until the last couple of games. One brilliant goal doesn't mean they were all wrong about his cheap concession of posession every couple of minutes. It does mean that those who say he is not fit to wear the Red shirt are wide of the mark though.
I think there is much much more to come from Luis. I really think he can become a superstar for us, though I fully accept that he still has a mile to go.

I've said all along that despite his wastefulness (is that a word? ??? ) that he'd get better and better as the season progresses and thankfully he seems to be doing just that, when we look back next May I'm sure we'll all be agreeing how good he really is

He gave the ball away a lot tonight too, but the difference is that we feel good because we won.

He's good scapegoat material and always will be, but I'd keep him for his creativity and goal scoring.  (If you don't agree, imagine this Liverpool side with LESS creativity and goalscoring!)
