We have to take the little guy as with all of the great things he does there are plenty of annoying things (i.e.giving the ball away) but if he wasn't trying these little flicks and tricks he wouldn't produce the goods that he has.

he just needs to get the balance right of knowing when to try the tricks and flicks, and when to just keep it simple. Get that right and he will easily be one of our best players

Personally I find Garcia to be a frustrating player, but would I still pick him in the team?  Damn right, because for all his flaws he is still always likely to pop up with a goal or a bit of magic. 

I believe his consistency will improve as he gets more used to the English game and when Benitez sticks to playing him in one position, so far this season he's played as a forward, 'in the hole', on the right and on the left.  Anyone would struggle for consistency being asked to do that.

And it's not just Garcia that would benefit from him playing in one position, it's the whole team.  He's not a winger, but I'd start him on the left and let him and Gerrard swap flanks like they have done the last few games, it seems to be working.

His passing and all-round play can be questioned at times, but his goalscoring record from midfield is excellent, and for that reason he has to be in the team, especially since our strikers aren't exactly banging them in this season.

I too get extremely frustrated with Garcia at times, but do however see what he brings to the team.
However, I have said for a while now, that I think Rafa will (when the time is right!) bring in a player of the same 'type' as Garcia, but do be a first teamer with Garcia as back-up. Thus adding more quality, competition (between the two) and depth to the position and the squad as a whole.
Currently we only really have one player of his ilk, well in a true sense anyway (as SG and Kewell can/could do it too!).

Good to see someone continually backing a Liverpool player through thick and thin- for those that constantly criticise Garcia- yeah he loses the ball- but at least he'll be the first to chase back and help defend. He's scored some very important goals for us and once we have another winger I thnk we'll really see his worth playing off a lone striker!! Either way-he deserves the fans support as at least he keeps battling and playing how he feels he plays best.
