Its a tricky one on saturday.
West Ham playing decently, IMO showing enough form to stay up. Liverpool showing moments of a great team, mostly being useless.
Historically we have always played well against West Ham, they're a free scoring side with an average defence. In days past when we had the likes of Michael Owen and even as far back as Titi Camara we we're never shy of goals and this showed in our results.
Can we beat West Ham? The bookies would probably say DRAW based on current form of both teams. I think it all relies on the team we field and the formation we play. Fielding a 4-5-1 formation when your struggling to score is only going to result in a draw at best.
I think the way to approach every league game this season is a list of definite starters:
Reina
Carragher
Alonso
Gerrard
Cisse
With this base the other positions can be filled as needed. But this core set of players are what will get us back to our best.
Cisse is a goal machine and he is the one who can solve our scoring crisis. Start him for the West Ham game and we have given ourselves the best chance of winning
