Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Rafa's formations seem to work against europes best yet when we play the whipping boys of the premier league we come unstuck. After watching todays travesty of a game I'm starting to think either Benitez is a genius or Houllier in disguise? The formation we played today was wrong wrong wrong we needed to play attacking football today & managed to play like we were down to ten players, backs against the wall type football. Come on Rafa. It was a solid display and we got the three points. People used to complain in Valencia he played too defensivly and negative but he got the points he needed.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

I haven't seen the game yet but I can imagine that after going down to 10 men Blackburn were playing like a straight guy in a gay bar (all backs to the wall  :D ).
From what i have seen of blackburn this season they are very negative and start to shake like a sh!tting dog once they get 2 or 3 players over the halfway line; personally without seeing the game i'll take the 3 points and the confidence (even if it's only a small amount) that this will give the team and start looking towrads Anderlecht in midweek.

Whipping boy of the Premiership? The c#nts beat Man Utd at home two weeks ago ya tit.

We played 4-4-2 and the same fecking whinning that we had a couple of weeks ago. We don't have the personal to play like Brazilians ya clueless morons.

Chelsea won 16 games 1-0 last season, I don't give a f#ck if the score is 11-0 or 1-0 it wont change that it's three points earned.

It was not a good display atall, the last few games havent been good either.
but one things for sure Liverpool are not going to be challenging anyone, never mind the so called top 3 :)
Just a football team really, not threatening, not doing much, just mediocre TBH. :) But 3 points and the bitters still rock bottom Ill take it, who am I to complain?
Im not happy but there you go...........

The top 3 is ours for the taking. Chelsea have pretty much won the league, which leaves Man Utd,Arsenal and us.

Man Utd have the best chance of getting closer to Chelsea but even so I doubt that they will be able to pose any real threat to them. I expect that they will finish in second place.

Arsenal on the other hand are a weakened side compared to the side they were two seasons ago, or even last season. Losing Vieira was a huge blow and they will miss his presence in midfield. There isn't anybody in CM in their squadwho can do what Vieira has done for them over the years. [Gilberto is quality,Fabregas and Flamini are good but they aren't Vieira.]

Henry is injured, Campbell is injured, Cole is injured, Hleb is injured and so on. They struggled last season when they had injuries and they will struggle even more this season.

With that being said, we will fight with Arsenal for that 3rd place.

This league is not a sprint, it's a marathon.
