What the hell!

Blair wants to imprison people without charge for 3 months, as advised by police. Remember

(1) This is the same police that put out false info about the brazilian they shot, didn't want an investigation and stole the video footage from the station (oh, sorry, none of the cameras had been working

(2) When the IRA were killing innocent people who used to enjoy a drink in a pub (i.e. not less bad than muslims killing innocent travelers), the UK government brought in internment which was the greatest thing ever for the IRA. All analyists agree that it helped gain the IRA support in their communities. Same will happen in muslim ones when innocents are arrested.

(3) That old man that was thrown out of the labour conference. The young guy that tried protect him from the big bouncers was arrested and held under anti-terrorism legislation.

Sounds like what Hitler did when the Reichstag burned down to protect Germans.

Crazy stuff, just like the Patriot Act in the US.

Britain's policy of internment was an absolute disaster in the 1970s, and the IRA probably doubled its membership because of that policy. Innocent people interned for no good reason and who had no terrorist sympathies whatsoever emerged from internment and joined the IRA. There were also countless others who had their lives disrupted just because they were young Catholic men.

British police also used the internment laws to fire whoever they wanted into jail for 6 months without charge before turfing them out. A copper in the 1970s could arrest a chap he didn't like and put him behind bars and then have him released a few months later, with no charges whatsoever brought.

I cannot believe that the establishment hasn't learned from the mistakes of the 1970s.

What happened at the Labour Part conference was a disgrace. The whole thing was captured on telly and all the old fella did was shout nonsense. The young guy beside him merely asked the bouncers to leave him alone, and got turfed out and was treated as a terrorist for his good Samaratian behaviour.

The biggest devils are those which wear smiles and good decent Britons must ask themselves "Can we tolerate this kind of behaviour from the party ruling our country?" I know something needs to be done against terrorists but Blair and his cronies will use the Terrorist laws whenever they can to quell any criticism of them.

Terrorists should be investigated, arrested, charged, prosecuted and convicted under the existing laws of the land and due process should be adherred to. These new anti terrorist laws will be only a recruiting poster for more terrorists and will disrupt normal British people's lives.
