Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Gonzalez is going to be a star in the future.  He's only 20 and is an exciting player.

I don't blame Rafa for being p!ssed off.  But hopefully this situation will be resolved and he will be wearing a liverpool shirt sometime in the future.

It could happen yet, although definitely not this side of Christmas.

just looked up the latest fifa rankings - quite honestly any system that puts the USA in 6th ahead of England, Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, Italy and Greece really is not worth paying attention to.

who the hell makes up such silly rules in this game. I think it should be amended such that you can have any one on loan to prove their worth, that way if they deliver they can be judged on their own merits and not on how good or bad the national team they play for is. Ghana are ranked 70th, if Chile were to beat them do Chelsea lose 26million pound of player?? if yes then i say once Gonzalez is fit LFC should sponsor the match themselves and let the teams use Anfield for free as i'm sure Chile would win!

Its all football politics. Now some other team may snap him up. Although im sure Rafa still has a card up his sleeve. I mean when does he not. H eknows how to move quick. Look how he snateched Sossoko from under Evertons nose and you cant deny you like him.

This is :censored:, I don't know what kind of laws you have in England, but in the States you can come play professionally no matter where your from.  What makes it worse is that other clubs get by this, but Liverpool gets screwed out of a essential player.  BTW there is an article on lfc.tv by one of the judges, who even though he wasn't presiding over the case still gave an interesting read.

I read somewhere too (probably a year or so ago) that a work permit would only be granted if the player was playing a significant number of 1st team games. With Speedy injured until October (??) this may have affected the decision.

Yeah the rankings are sh*te, it reeks of bs and yet they still place such value to them, doesn't make sense ??? . Am sure other clubs will be sniffing around for him now :glare:, but if he really wants to sign for us, he'll wait it out and hopefully things will get sorted out next year perhaps?
