Houllier started it. Remember "we need four world class strikers" (this was when we all thought snoop doggy Diouf was a world class snip at £11million)! & now Benitez is doing it claiming he's not trying to push Baros out & we'll still need four strikers. Weeeellllll if my maths are still ok minus Baros leaves us with three strikers unless we count Pongo & I'm not so sure Rafa's counting Pongo so I'll not count Pongo. Sorry Pongo. So that'll be Owen then? Or maybe not. Maybe Saviola(on a free) or Dirk whats is name Kite, Kryte, Kyte oh you know who. When did all this striker stuff start. WE NEED A DEFENDER ASAP! Unless we take on the Keegan mentality of score more than them, we need a defender. Hyypia is fantastic & we all know Carras a god but only two World class defenders, but we NEED FOUR world class strikers, rubbish. Forget Owen for now & pray we buy a new Maldini or Nesta. Uncover the new Terry or Campbell. Because without that happening we could be in for another fair to middling season & I for one dont want that. YNWA

A Birmingham paper tonight claims that Baros has agreed terms with Villa but they are still short of agreeing a fee with LFC

Sorry Paul, I realise you may like the fella (baros)but as soon as possible as far as i'm concernd mate.

I'm not claiming any greater power of persuasion because I have to pay out my hard earned dosh to watch him play but I've had enough of watching him run head down surveying the grass :Oo:

If he was a squick to score as he is to criticise his fellow team mates and manager then I'd have no problem with him but 1 goal in 20 games says it all for me and the sooner we cash in and get Michael Owen's down payment the better

One of my posts from another thread:

I would have Owen back, he has learnt from his mistake, I was watching the CL dvd last night and I noticed 2things about Baros, one is that he missed AT LEAST one sitter a game and another was the amount of times that Cisse etc went bonckers because they were in a better position but Baros went alone, yeah he'll score goals and he's a good player but he also misses a hell of a lot and won't bring other strikers into play

People have often asked in the past who is best partnering Baros but I honestly don't think he can play with another striker.
