Mista to liverpool? - Eleventh hour move for striker!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby spiralstairs00 » Mon Aug 30, 2004 3:43 pm

Spanish papers are reporting that Rafiael Benitez will land Valencia striker Mista for £3.5 million tomorrow after confirming talks have started with the player. Arsenal have been in negotations with the spanish club but talks have stalled because they will only offer £2 million plus £500 thousand later on depending on apperances. Liverpool are prepared to pay more & can offer a better contract for a player widely regarded as one of the best in europe.

Liverpool news

Theres some bits and pieces in here, not sure how reliable however.

What type of striker is Mista?
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

Touche, I woulds suspect that he would hardly likely to play if he is in talks with us unless they got real injury probs. However often reports get the club looking right and the player wrong. Lets hope theres no smoke without fire and that we intend to sign Tristan from Deportivo.
