The Department of Education and Employment in England are denying him a work permit, as have the judges on an appeals court.
This has nothing to do with FIFA so why the random outburst? He was allowed to play in Spain because that is a different country with different politics.

Hardly random. I read that it was FIFA that had decided this. Sorry to have made a mistake dear boy. The fact remains that he was allowed to play in Spain, a Euro nation, and as WE are in the EU, AND we are the softest touches on immigration and the like, how the fack can they refuse him a permit? Is this Blair's b*llocks again? "Want to bomb us? - You can come to our country, sponge off our people, have a free house, car and benefit scheme. You want to work while in Britain? - Feck off, waster."

They need to sort this out before it's too late.
BTW - we haven't lost him, he just wont be able to play until Jan provided an appeal is successful.

thanks for the update lando   if rafa has to wait till january then so be it  he rates mark verry high so if the worst comes to the worst he will sort it in january  he got this guy a year early so no one else would buy him

The only way Gonzalez can sign is if Chile start winning some games and get into the top 70.

Ridiculous situation, the rule needs rectifying IMO, it's hardly fair on the player is it.

Bascially they are saying if a player plays for a poor football nation which is outside the EU then they can't play in England, no matter how good the player is. It's ludicrous.

Some reports say that we've appealed and we've been rejected and some say that we're going to appeal. The one I posted was from SSN, we'll see how reliable they are :O

As sad as i am to hear this news, now Kewell will have more of a chance to prove himself without the competition for his place.
If Kewell is still :censored: then offload him in the same January transfer window as we get Gonzales

Mark Gonzalez, the Chilean winger signed from Albacete, possesses the pace that top wide men in the Premiership require. Although he was refused a work permit last week by the Department of Education and Employment, Liverpool are confident of overturning that decision.

Good news that

The European champions will now have to re-think their plans, and could make a renewed bid for a work permit in January.

weak. Chile arent taking place in very many matches before January so this is probably not even a reality.
