Come on kewell. Forget the fcuked up confederation cup. Your loyalty lies with liverpool and not the OZ national team. World cup qualifiers are ok...but confederation cup ???

I have been one of kewell's biggest fans, but if he does put off his operation...thats the last straw for me.

Kewell decision imminent

Liverpool midfielder Harry Kewell will return to Melwood next week after receiving treatment in Spain from a top physio known personally by Rafael Benitez.

The Australian international is due to fly back to England on Monday and a decision will then be made as to whether or not he is to have an operation to try and solve his chronic groin problems or if continued manipulation and general treatment is likely to work.

Kewell's international team-mate Lucas Neill says the Kop flop is desperate to play for Australia in June's Confederations Cup in Germany but an operation would rule him out.

Neill said: "He definitely wants to play because he has not played a lot of soccer in the last couple of months.

"He said a long time ago to me this was a very important tournament for Australia because it is the next best thing to the World Cup and a great way to prepare as a team for a tournament.

"He definitely wants to be involved but if he goes under the knife he is a no-go."

If Kewell delays surgery until after the Confederations Cup it is likely that he's miss the start of Liverpool's season and that will stress Rafa out who has become tired of the situation.

What's annoying for us is that we actually like Harry Kewell. We also believe he's a great player, it's just that we haven't see much of what he's capable of. When at Leeds he had a reputation of only putting in a good performance for the big games and at Liverpool all we hear of is him wanting to return for the Champions League semi-final and before that the League Cup final.

We recently reported that MTV were about to feature his home in the UK version of MTV Cribs yet we hear little about the player's desire to prove himself. Instead we hear from him that he has nothing to prove but as far as we're concerned he has a lot to do to win back our hearts. Forget MTV, forget the Socceroos and start thinking about Liverpool Football Club, who pay you a hell of a lot of money.

Diouf should never have worn the famous number 9 shirt, you've got 7, start earning the right to wear it. Get under the knife and sort yourself out for next season or Rafa will see that you're confined to history.

Kewell will be gone along with Smicer[Rafa is not giving him a new contract], and rightfully so.

the way Im feeling now couldnt give a shi.t if nearly all the team went only ones worth anything are Luis, xabi, fernando?, Warnock, carra, Finnan, Cisse, Sammi, Scott carson, riise, Didi.
we are going to need an awful lot of money to buy new players because them that dont give a sh.it can all go im really depressed and down at this moment in time.

Forget Harry Kewell he is not a real player of Liverpool. Look at Cisse and Alonso returning from their massive injuries with all the desire in the world to play every game, he could certainly take a leaf out of their books.

Look at Luis Garcia against Everton. Picked up an injury, refused to go off the pitch and hopped on one foot for most of the game. Would Kewell do that? No, ship him off .

What's he actually having an operation on? Someone told me he has been 2 many top phisios and they are finding nothing wrong with him. One said it is phycological. He needs to sort himself out.

Really, I thought the top physio in this divsion said that he has a serious injury, and it will not be cured while he is playing football, and the only chance of him gettting rid of these injuries(mainly ankle and groin) is to have 3 months of complete rest.

The following article is what I was talking about before. Just makes you think that if Rafa would allow him 3 months off, and Kewell agreed not to go to the confedrations cup and completley rest, we could have a fantastic player on our hands.

Just copied and pasted this from another forum:

http://vg.transact.no/Item.as....Page=-1

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez is refusing to accept expert advice that Harry Kewell requires a three-month rest.

Amsterdam-based Andre van Alphen, one of the world's leading sports physiotherapists, has been working with the player recently and following various consultations, he is of the opinion that unless the player is rested he could be forced to retire from the game.

Australia's international manager Frank Farina has also said that he would be surprised if Kewell kicked a ball again this season but Rafa's having none of it. Instead he believes the player will be back in about three weeks.

Rafa said: "Harry Kewell is still unavailable, but I hope he'll be available in two or three weeks."

This means he'll miss the Blackburn match and of course the Merseyside derby. The game against Bolton on 2nd April may also come too soon but we'll have a better idea of his status nearer the time.

He's been happy with his £60 grand a week whilst giving us fk all in return , he's now getting himself fit for the Oz national side and his next move to another club that comes with a fat signing on fee .

Every fan would love to see Kewell playing at his sparkling best or at least TRYING to ! Kewell has shown no commitment to the club ,his teammates or the fans .You see his attitude as making a stand against those of us who have a go at him "albeit at the expense of the club and our postion" Duh ! Has it occured to you that this attitude is one of the reasons some of us have had enough of Kewell .

What a load of rubbish, we're all 100% behind every player who shows even the smallest amount of commitment reguardless of the ammount of talent they may posess. Kewell's attitude is unforgiveable as he is a player with an abundance of talent who just gives nothing in terms of commitment! Do yourself a favour and when Kewell goes and gets his next fat signing on fee, go with him!
