Ibrahimovich is class. The only thing he cant do well is finish. But he's got pace, power and skill and he'll give hyypia an awful time. He's one of the best forwards in europe imo. Juventus have been my favourites from the start for the cl but without nedved and with alonso coming back for us we've got a big chance. With gerrard and alonso in midfield(at least for the 2nd leg) we'll dominate in midfield.
Steve Gerrard Gerrard,
He'll pass the ball 40 yards,
He's quick and he's f*cking hard,
Steve Gerrard Gerrard.

Nedved is the player I fear most. He is absolutely fantastic, he can do everything from excellent tackling to superb wonder goals. And he isn't some stuck up superstar, he is a real team player with a great attitude. If he weren’t available against us this would be a huge boost.

He and Ibrahimovich are the players that can do us the most damage. But at the other end it is going to be really difficult getting past Buffon, Thurum, Cannavaro and Emerson. Especially with only Baros leading the attack, I think were going to need something special from Gerrard.

Dont start this mate, no place for it here or in Turin.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

they seem to have been around for years, emerson cant exactly be a spring chicken either.
the lad ibrahimovic is a good player though, for a tall lad his control is excellent.
Can't wait for the clash between Emerson (our best midfielder this year) and Gerrard!

makonen is most probably a Torino fan   :glare:
Thuram is 33 y/o and playing at his best Juventus level ever right now. Cannavaro, 31 y/o has turned back greatly after a bad period at Inter! Zambrotta, 28 y/o is quite tired in 2005 and Zebina, 26 y/o is the weakest link in our defense.

Sorry for you guys, but it seems that Nedved will be fit enough to play against Fiorentina next week (plus he gave up the national team, so he'll have more time).

Carra and Pellegrino would be my choice at centerback, pelle cause he has more exp at european cup level, thats nothing against sami(he is still a hero to me)but I just feel pelle  mght do it for us at both ties(upfront dunno we have a bit of a crisis after the dearby winNOT REALY WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT BAROS AND? is only choice),,hopefully hamman will make both ties, xabi maybe in Turin?(praying prob too son for him) but make no mistake it will be back back to the walls for thESE  both ties(hangover just got over from beating the blues:D )
For our next league game against bolton willl be intresting to see the team after the internationals.

latest news tells htat hamann would be OUT for BOTH of the CL ties and xabi alonso might be back in time for the 2nd leg. that means we would need to rely on our igor. warnock would be out for the 1st leg and might be back for the 2nd leg. remmeber both pellegrino and morientes are suspended. htis would be our liverpool v juve formation:
-----------Dudek----------
Finnan-Hyypia-Carra-Traore
Nunez-Biscan-Gerrard-Riise
----------Garcia----------
----------Baros-----------
Subs: Carson, Welsh, Otsemobor, Potter, Le Tallec, Smicer, Whitbread
List of Injury/Suspended:
Kewell
Sinama Pongolle
Alonso
Cisse
Hamann
Mellor
Warnock
Josemi
Kirkland
Morientes
Pellegrino

If we play the way we did against Newcastle, we will be severely punished.  If we play the way we did against BL and Everton, we have a chance - as long as we don't pick up anymore injuries.

The 1st leg will be extremely important - the fans a big part to play!  No mistakes by Dudek.  We'll need to win by at least 2-0 to have a chance in the return leg.

We have nothing to loose, we're not expected to win.  In fact, I think we are expected to loose by a heavy margin.  But we can do this!

Walk on!!
