Well after a great performance against Leverkusen we go into the match in good form. With Nando and Stevie coming back who do you think will make way ?

I think team will be :

                            dudek
                  finnan carra hyypia riise
                garcia hamann gerrard kewell
                       morientes baros

Same, but I think I'd put Carson in now. Deep-end for the lad I know but it could go well.

Yeah it'd be too much pressure for his first time out...mind you, Dudek isn't really one to handle pressure himself.

He probably will play Traore as Riise has been in good form in the midfield.

Finnan and Garcia attacking Gallas on the right and Riise and Harry takes on Ferreira on the left...hmmm yum yum :p

We must “lock” their midfield esp. Joe Cole or Lampard. If we have to take one of them out from game, we should do it. I have a bad feeling about this game. I worry that one of our midfield (maybe Garcia because light weight) will end up like Alonso.

I agree but chelsea are nt really a physical team as such well neither are we but i think it will be won or lost in the midfield i got a feeling he will play 5 in midfeild with Baros up top beacuse even if we score chelsea will be attack as much as they can i reckon the week link in there team is carvalio and gerrard and baros should focus on him

to me, the team pretty much picks itself. the only question mark would be whether kewell plays or not, with riise reverting to left back. i would guess that he'll stick with traore.

I don't think kewell will play against chelsea. Now that gerrard & morientas are back, rafa might try to rest kewell and call on him when it is really needed... Pity though. Thought he did really well for a player just returning from injury. Guess this might be the team picked...

                            Dudek
          Finnan  Carra  Hyppia  Traore
         Garcia   Hamann Gerrard Riise
                     Baros  Morientas

or if rafa reverts to his fav formation....4-5-1

                          Dudek
          Finnan  Carra  Hyppia  Traore
         Garcia   Hamann Biscan Riise
                         Gerrard
                       Morientas

Kewell goes knocking on Rafa's door

Liverpool midfielder Harry Kewell is planning to hold talks with Rafael Benitez to discuss his injury status.

The Australian international is at the centre of a bitter row between his club manager, his international manager Frank Farina and his agent Bernie Mandic. The whole situation has turned into a bit of a farce after Farina and Mandic denied offering advice about when he should go under the knife but Rafa insists they have been sticking their noses in and we know who we believe.

Kewell has been declaring himself available for selection even though he isn't fully fit and when he strikes the ball with his left foot, if he over does it, he's left in agony. He shouldn't be risked on Sunday because if breaks down, the Reds would lose him for the rest of the season. That gamble though isn't worrying the player who wants to play in the final.

"My injury is still going on, it is still dragging, and it is just not going to go away like that, no matter what people say," said the player. "Now I will have to sit down with the manager and have a talk about it, because I am still not 100 per cent right.

"I am still feeling my groin, but everyone is now doing their best to put it right. People who don't know anything have been wanting to have a say. If they got the facts, that would be better.

"Those facts are that I am working with the club, and we are trying to get this problem solved. Basically, people have just been making stuff up.

"Of course I won't be telling him to rest me for the final on Sunday. I want to play every game, but it's his choice, and whatever he decides.

"The manager, by coming out like he did, wanted to put a dead stop to the talk about my injury, which is fair enough for me.

"It doesn't bother me what people say about me - it never has. We will just get on with it and keep moving forward, no matter what is being said. Personally, I know I have to improve, there are things I can do better, and I need to get my fitness back. That is what I am aiming at."

He won't bench Baros, so we will use a 4-4-2 formation.
