Owen's world class.

If we could bring him back, it would be madness not to.

He's one of the best 5 or 6 strikers in world football.

Any Fool who says otherwise (Banana i am on about you) simply doesn't know football.

We do not need Owen here. If there is money available for transfer it would be a MASSIVE mistake not to strenghten other areas first. We need at least 2 new central defenders, 3 new wingers, a fullback + a goalkeeper before we should sign another striker. It is plain foolish to waste money on strikers when we desperately need a brand new back 4 (back 5 if you include the goalkeeper)

we don't need a brand new back four. what are you on about. finnan, riise and carragher will be around for years. i'd say we need a new top class centre back and cover at left back.

Yes plain foolish to buy great players when they become available.

I'm sorry, but Morientes, Gerrard, Alonso, Carragher and Riise have enough to carry the rest of a team, if you throw Owen back into that equation you are then going to get goals aswell which will further strengthen the team.

Banana, Baros will never be in Owen's class. He has 12 goals this season, the same as Owen, yet Owen's in a new league, new team, new country, and played about a third of the minutes Baros has played.

We need another great striker to partner and compliment Morientes and to turn down a chance to re-sign someone as good as Owen is madness. :)

Rush never recovered his old form when he returned from Italy. He was always a very good player at tracking back and defending, but his red hot goalscoring form deserted him when he returned from Juventus. Injuries played a big part, but most would agree that some of the magic had disappeared.

I wouldn't mind having him back the experience will have done him good and we could do with another striker instead of relying on pongolle and mellor to do the business when anyone gets injured!!
