Luis garcia - Whats the problem

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

The thing that is so infuriating about Garcia is that he has the talent to be a really superb player.
Some of his control and skill is sublime and he does offer us a different dimension.
If he can work on his game and improve under Benitez, then we will have gained a real asset to the team.
It can be as frustating as hell watching him sometimes but I'd like to see him given time, so we can see what he can really do once he has fully adapted and settled in the premiership.

Far to early to be talking about Garcia being binned.
I take the point about at this particular time in the season - do we need more of a work horse to do the bread and butter stuff - and dig in a bit when games are tight - but I'm definitely a fan of Garcia in the VERY SHORT PERIOD WE HAVE SEEN HIM PLAY FOR LIVERPOOL

I agree, I would have Garcia in the team ahead of Smicer any day. Admittedly Garcia can be a bit hit-and-miss but I think he will adapt his game under Rafa and become a success. Smicer is more of a miss-and-miss, I think aside from maybe 5 games in his 4-5(?) years here he has produced nothing.

Smicer is ... Cr*p... too inconsistent .. and the odd good game... Garcia is better then him.. I think he is a bit too light weight.. too easily knocked of the ball... plays well with an Alonso-tyoe player.. whio we is sadly missed :(

Garcia will come good...

He will come good once he gets used to the prem a bit more and played in his correct position, how many players have we seen  play poor out of position at our club?

how do you think morientes feels then? he's currently got the likes of nunez, riise and garcia providing him with ammunition. at real he had zidane, beckham and figo. :(

he'll still do the business though but we desperately need a top class right winger.

I think thats been our problem this season.  A times we have dominated the game, our midfield out playing the opposition.  But we haven't capitalized on that.  Our play in the final third of the pitch has been lacking.  Hopefully, we can have the rest of the season without major injury, and Baros and Morientes can establish an effective partnership.

Maybe thats what Houllier was trying to rectify when he offered £9M for Lee Bowyer...pity nobody told Houllier there's a huge difference between being right-wing and being a right-winger!
