i guess that would not be so bad to have such a strike force of that caliber
but also do we need a centre back at this point in time, to move up the table and move on in the champ league
a centre back would help us to win more games, but at what price? or are we sufficiant enough to wait till off-season

How much money is there to spend? My guess is around 15 million now at a stretch with extra possibly coming back into the coffers if we manage to offload some of the dead wood. Keegan is an admirer of Henchoz and we should expect 3 around 3 million for him, depending on his contract and wage demands. Anelka is out of contract within the next 18 months so is prime for a cut price move - Man City will already have the 5 or 6 mill owed to PSG in the budget so i reckon 3 mill plus Hechoz would be a good deal for both sides.
But if we get Morientes as well that would leave three ****** in the Hen house with Baros and this may cause problems.
Around 10 million for the two i reckon would leave enough to mount a serious bid for a central defender and a right winger.

arsenal needs the funds, because they are looking for a consistant guy in goal

madrid wants to pay only 2 mill for edu, we could steal him for around 4-5 mill

Why wouldn't he come here? He has a chance to start and play while at Arsenal a first team spot may not be guaranteed.

Anelka is a bitch. Don't know much about Morientas but don't know why LFC fans are creaming themselves about a guy who is not good enough to get in the team of a club who just got an LFC player.

Agree with that.
We could get Anelka for £3m or so plus a player in exchange.
The big stumbling block might be the player wages that they both might expect.
Morientes want's his RM salary of £70,000 a week, Anelka will wan't the same. Thats £7m a year !!
