Can't believe we didn't cash in tbh. We've obviously held talks with Monaco for Camara and told them to hang on as we didn't have the money for him. We should have sold Gakpo, and bought Camara for £50m. We would have been way better balanced as a team. We could have played Camara as a 6 and Wirtz and Szoboszlai are 8s with the flexibility to roam.

Have to give Gakpo credit where it's due. I've not been his greatest fan by a long shot. But he started the session well. Hope it continues.

Yes good shout Mark.
Actually i think we should make more use of his shooting power.  Until we get our front line firing on all cylinders i dont know why Andi doesnt play the percentages a bit. Modern keepers dont catch the ball, they are coached to parry it towards the sidelines but the amount of shots which get parried back into the goal mouth into the danger area in the modern game is ridiculous.
One thing we are blessed with is players who can strike a ball from distance, Dom,  Cody and Macca in particular, and the beauty of this tactic is they dont even need to score, all they have to do is strike it hard, low and on target and have a semi circular wave of players led by Isak following the strike in.
19 times out of 20 the keeper wont be catching it so opportunities will be there.

The frustrating thing about Gakpo is that whilst he's a heck of an athlete and a good footballer, he's been content to play second fiddle behind Mo/Bobby/Mane/Isak and anyone else we've picked ahead of him - he fails to assert himself. For some reason he's woken up with self belief and he's a different player. It's strange that under Slot (Dutch) and with VVD as captain he wasn't able to lift himself. Long may it continue but I have to say I'm surprised.
