VVD is still class, 3 players marking him and he still wins the ball.

I think that’s 5rh placed nailed on now. A miracle really.

We beat them on their new stadium in our worst season in a while LMAO. With two goals from our two best players in recent years, and the second being an injury time winner. What a terrible afternoon for Everton fans they must be livid

For us, it now means we're 7 points clear in a CL spot, which is incredible considering how Sh*t we've been this season.

Cherki is really showing Wirtz how its done at the moment. He's doing magical things at key moments. Wirtz is so far off where he should be.

Only 2 things can be taken from that game. We beat them in their new stadium and got 3 points. The rest of it was poor to say the least.

We have no identity anymore. We arent an all out attacking side or even an explosive counter attacking side. We have just become plodders hoping we can nick a goal at some point in the game.

Isak isnt the problem but how we use him is. He gets no service as it goes wide everytime so either winger can cut in for a shot. He probably only got about 5 touches today which says it all. Midfield non existent again, running around like headless chickens they where. Wirtz still needs to toughen up especially for these games. He just dwelled on the ball too much today. Gakpo and Salah where poor outside of 5 seconds for the goal. Grav got away with a lot and was found lacking quite a few times.

Overall Everton are a poor side who will never win that league or even come close to it. This is their whole season in one game and im delighted we took the points especially when you factor in it was the 1st in the new stadium!! We need to be better though as that wasnt fun to watch.

Its a shame Chelsea couldn't get something off United last night.

I’ll take the 3 points. I thought Gakpo showed more energy and industry than the other forwards, he deserved a goal.

So frustrating, mate. We pay a King’s ransom for Wirtz and Manchester City pay less than £10m for Cherki. It was bad enough when City paid  :censored:  :censored:  :censored:  :censored:  :censored:  :censored: considerably less for Harland than LIVERPOOL paid for Nunez.

If another team came in with £50m for Wirtz in the summer I’d seriously think about taking the money. Apart from the very occasional half decent pass he has showed absolutely nothing. I just don’t think he has the speed of thought for the premiership. Am I being unreasonable and should he take Slot with him?

Pleased with the result today but unfortunately we look bang average. I like to think that I’m a glass half full kind of a guy but unfortunately this season this lot have nicked my feckin glass  :help

Missed the game today as I was travelling. But I'm reading the comments here with interest.
Wirtz is absolutely NOT a bad player. He's class, simple as. We just haven't yet found the right combo to get the best out of him. Wirtz is like a Bobby to me, but back then we had strikers on their game in Sadio and Mo. We had energy and steel in midfield with Gini and Fab. We had dependable defenders. And Bobby did what only Bobby could do. And I think Wirtz is of the same ilk.

I'm pleasantly surprised we got the three points. I was actually expecting this to be their cup final and take the three points instead. So relieved on that front.
I'm kinda pleased City won, moreso that Lego Head Arteta lost.

Would have been nice if the Chavs beat United last night. But I think the reason they didn't is almost purely down to that cabbage Garnacho. What an utter waste of human DNA

VVD keeps Slot in a job! I don't know whether to cheer or cry at that goal!

Given we've got our issues, it was nice to see VVD give them a bitter end and D1kford on his backside.

So what you are saying is that your hate of Slot is equal to your love of the team. It seems a little irrational! Personally speaking I cannot see a world where I would be upset at an injury time goal by our captain against our local rivals that would have danced in the street had they been the cause of us missing out on CL.

Fantastic that we scored at the death but it was a dire performance again for 99mins and that is the reason I would move Slot on. Great result for the game but it only keeps him at the wheel for longer and yet more lame performances. We got lucky and you know it.
