Liverpool Football Club - Games

That was a brilliant performance, if Sunday was the type of performance that gets managers the sack tonights was the type of performance which keeps managers in a job. Imagine a fully fit and in form Isak thrown into that lot.

Not sure what's happened to the cool, calm, collected Arne Slot. His interviews after the matches were filled with him talking indepth about how we took teams apart. Now he sounds like a kid thats had too much orange juice.

Knew we would win that since the result last week. Truth is we got one of the easier teams. Definitely easier than Athletico.

Much better energy about us and especially in the 2nd half. Don't know why we arent fighting like that on a weekly basis. Thought Salah was better but still not great. Poor touches, passes and shots at times. Bad miss for the pen but finished up with a goal from a great finish. Szob has just unlimited energy, good goal but let himself down with the pen theatrics. Kerkhez did well, fought hard and won a lot of balls. Overall a good team performance tonight. Could have been 7 or 8 if we finished a few other chances.

PSG now and that performance tonight has to be the minimum level we bring to that.

Good game, we actually turned up but it's papering over the cracks for me.
Good result though and we're 1 of 2 English teams left in it, the other being Arsenal so that's credit to everyone.
If slot wins the Champions League this season he'll go down in history as one of the most successful managers yet on the other hand, he's actually one of the worst we've had.

Strange times

Can't help but think "at last the team has turned up " , but won't get carried away, it was a good performance against a surprisingly limp Galatasaray .

Good result, against poor opposition.

Will take a miracle for us to get past PSG.

PSG will be tough but that's hardly stop the press news it is a CL QF we are talking about. Although the first leg last year was bad people forget how well we played in the second leg at Anfield, they scored a scruffy equaliser against the run of play and Donnaruma was not only their hero in the penalty shoot out he kept them in the tie during the 120 minutes as well.
The second leg once again is at Anfield and Donnaruma is at City now, just saying.
They wont be thrilled at the prospect of playing us over 2 legs in this competition, no one is.

Good result, well done Reds. Does it signal a change, was it a flash in the pan, can we make a sustained effort for the rest of the season?

Who knows.

Well PSG will certainly not park the bus so let’s see how we do, if the players do not go in with 100% intensity and desire then no chance, if they do show up then I don’t see why we cannot progress, PSG are not unbeatable. We have the talent to win this tournament but do we have the cohesion? If our players give everything we can beat all teams left in the draw.

I hope Arsenal play Atletico at some point, the two shithousery teams make in it about “dark arts”. I hope Arsenal lose unfairly to watch Arteta cry how they got robbed and the best team losing.

PSG are trying to get their domestic game against Nantes moved so they have no game between the first and second legs against us. They are expecting a tough second leg at Anfield and want as much energy in the tank as possible. I could be wrong but i'm pretty sure we play City in the FA Cup that weekend.

They already had a game moved before they played Chelsea so they'll give them this one as well. Proper farmers league stuff.
