Keep Slot and we'll save £10m but it'll cost us multiple millions, plus the knock ons of us not having CL footie, players not interested in coming to us etc etc

It's a no brainer, he's got to go

:D  If it’s a no brainer then who is the replacement? Surely you have one lined up.

Maybe your opinion is “anyone is better than Slot” or is no manager a better option than Slot, maybe the team can run itself? Even better, maybe you can do a better job, are you busy?

You are probably right though, pay off slot with 10 million without a better candidate then make it up as we go along seems like a no brainer  :upside:

Its not for me to choose a replacement, at this moment I'd drop anyone in to get us to the end of the season. Maybe Alonso?
Don't know why you're so arsey about it unless you're willing to accept the mediocrity and let Cloghead sink the ship??

I just reckon he's going to screw up next season if he stays any longer, who replaces him I dunno

I think he’s gone in the summer, unless he wins the CL or a trophy with CL qualification.

But it’s telling we’ve not offered him a new contract, and in the summer he’ll have less than 12 months left on his deal.

Not Arsey, just keep hearing “get rid get rid” when it’s not that simple and just wanted to know more of what you thought. “Cloghead”  just seems spiteful

To be honest Lads , I'm just not excited anymore watching us play under Slott's leadership.
To be fair Jurgen would always be a hard act to follow for any manager in the world.
BUT !!
Given the players we have , the fans we have, Anfield itself and the history of the club, I feel entitled to expect more.
Slott has been promoted to a club where expectations are far above his abilities to deliver.
Wish him well but the sooner he goes the sooner we'll improve.  :kungfu:

Woof, I've been offered a ticket for the Galatasaray game and I've turned it down. Why torment myself knowing the players won't give 100% and the manager is a snakeoil saleman?

When the Anfield faithful are booing after a 1-1 draw then you know things are bad.

So the 2 worst teams in the league have taken 4 points from us in a week or so? The football is just hard to watch, the results aside, this team isn't functioning. That starts with the manager. If those players have no passion for his vision and feel underwhelmed with his lack of man management skills then that buck stops with the gaffa. It's HIS job to get the football business done on the pitch through the players he has.
The lack of a clue is so obvious, Gakpo starts regardless of anything! He's the best player we have (Slot's actual words), even if he plays him in a position freed up by dropping an inform Ekitike.
Which leads me onto Ekitike... not long since this lad was ripping it up. He looks devoid of confidence and players don't get devoid of confidence by sticking the ball in the onion bag do they? He'll be looking at shitty Gakpo starting in HIS position and thinking 'what the fk did I do wrong'?
Salah... he's not turned bad overnight has he? Well, yeah , he actually has! Slot has not helped at all here and to be honest I think he deep down wants Saudi to take Salah this summer then he doesn't have to drop him and look like the bad guy.

I get that the players are the ones playing but this all points to one man, Slot.  By Wednesday night I reckon we'll be out of everything to play for, then what? stick or twist.

Wanna save a bit of the season and try get 4th place there's no point sticking with this man. TBF I'd take Shaun fking Dyche over this numpty at the moment

What are the highlights of Slot's season so far, what has he achieved, what has he improved?
I was a great supporter of Rafa right til the end against the views of some on this forum however he had character, he was a motivator. I just don't see any qualities in Slot that makes he think to give him more time. He hasn't gelled with the players nor fans and this seasons results reflect that.

There's been some inside information about the players moaning about being "under coached" and them having 2/3 days off every week. Slot goes visits his family in Holland in those days off. I dont think hes 100% committed to the job, and its showing on the field.

Under Klopp the players used to talk about his intense training sessions and when we played the actual games they were easy in comparison.

Like someone else said it was truly deflating seing fans leaving early in the 85th minute while we were still one up at that. Had we seen signs of improvement or at least some sort of an effort to improve this season we'd have some hope but we've been stuck in groundhog day for a very long time now and it doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon.

Even though he won the league and I give him credit for that, under Slot it's been a downward curve performance-wise since he got here. Personally, I don't see any other way out of this mess other than bringing Klopp back.

Bottom line here is the football and what we are serving up is nowhere near good enough. Its absolute torture to watch. You have to work hard to win any game in this league and we arent doing that.

Is their really any truth to the above that Slot goes home 2/3 days a week ? And the players get that time off ? If true thats ridiculous.

I read that but you don't go walkabout for 2-3 days a week if you're earning £8 million a year....  :kungfu:

We are far too easy to play against when we havent got the ball, players do run and attempt to close the opposition down but they are always on their own, under Jurgen we pressed as a team, we hunted in packs, there was a plan to get the ball back, under Arne it's all one out stuff, Dom or Curtis sprinting to close down the keeper only to turn around and see they are on their own.
Just get Jurgen back, he said he'd come back in that interview, just get him back. i'm not sure a quiet celebral type like Xabi is what we need right now.
