Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby red till i die!! » Sat Feb 07, 2026 6:47 pm

Big game for us that we need to get a result from. Both Utd and the Chavs will have opened up a gap ahead of us if we dont.

Good news for us is that we are coming off the back of a few goid wins where the goals have flowed due to good performances. We need to keep that run going at home tomorrow. Flo and Etitike in good form and could make the difference due to Citys high defensive line which we need to take advantage of. Let them play the possession based stuff and we hit them hard on the break. If both of us just want to hold on to the ball then its got a boring draw wrote all over it.

Frimpong wont make it but Gomez has a chance. I think Slot will stick to the same lineup against Newcastle.

                                  Ali.

Szob.          Konate.      Virgil.         Kerkhez.

                      Macca.      Grav.
        Salah.              Wirtz.               Galpo.

                              Etitike.

Normally a point in this fixture would be a good result but we need all 3 so hopefully thats the gameplan and mindset come kick off.

Need to win this, otherwise we’ll be cut adrift from the top 5.

Huge game.

Last game I said we might get beat and we won convincingly, so I reckon we'll get smashed 5-0 in this one.

I agree that it looks like a must win game though. Chelsea and Man U have both gone on fantastic runs and we need to win just to stay close to them.

Tricky one this, both teams need points. We want to keep up pace with UCL spot and City can't afford to be 9 points adrift from Arsenal. I think it'll end in a 2-2 draw.

This team has had sufficient time to get used to each other by now, they have to step up to the plate against the big boys. Good luck reds!

City are not the same and I think we will win this convincingly and basically hand the title to the prima donnas

I'd love us to do a number on them like they did on us at their place, we were terrible that day. After beating Madrid and Inter and playing so well against Arsenal at the Emirates a good win today and i think a few of our players might just quietly start fancying their chances of winning the CL.

Same starting Xi as last time - injuries may take a further toll on us soon if we keep being forced to run the likes of Dom and Grav into the ground. Salah starting again - not filling me with confidence tbh

Liverpool team news

Subs: Mamardashvili, Woodman, Endo, Chiesa, Jones, Robertson, Nyoni, Ngumoha.

They look like they’ll score every single time they go forward.

Konate needs to be careful with the hands.

Is our midfield still in the dressing room?

We haven't started this match very well, they've been the much better side. We're too passive in defence, we allow too much time and space for the player that has the ball.

It’s only a matter of time until they score.

WTF are our tactics here?
