Why the hell is he dropping Wirtz to the bench again? His confidence is going to be shot to pieces. Players need to step up tonight massively.

Agree with the OP. Massive pressure to get a result.

Im going for the win as I cant see us losing again and he has to have them pumped for this!! Disappointed he has Gakpo and Salah starting but it is what it is.

Big game. Let’s hope we rise to the challenge and turn the corner.

Come on red men!

That press in the first 5 mins was the laziest half assed press I've ever witnessed.. 2 passes and Rogers was through on goal, luckily he hit the post.

To be fair we've stuck to the high press and its pressured Villa into making a few errors.. Dom should have scored, and Salah with the goal.

We still look vulnerable at the back so we need to stay switched on.

I’ve not been able to watch the game, how are we playing?

3 Valuable points, the game ebbed and flowed between confidence and losing control but overall, it was a fairly good performance Szlobo excellent again and Robbo safer than Kerkez.

It was better than what we seen lately. Didn't get exposed defensively as plenty of numbers back, Midfield gave good protection. Pressed well up front in periods and kept a clean sheet. It was a decent performance overall.

That's more like it and we looked very much like last season's team for the most part.

Make no mistake that was not an easy game either considering the form of the two sides. Villa started the season poorly but have since hit form and had like 4 or 5 wins in a row before this game, beating the likes of Man City and Spurs.

Very glad that Slot has finally seen reason and realized that at this moment Robertson is the far better option at LB than Kerkez.

All in all, glad we finally broke that bad run in the PL, hopefully things improve from here on.

We were almost like last season xi bar couple players. Going forward, I feel we should gradually incorporate the new lads, no point going drastic. Stick to what works currently. 3 important points and a clean sheet, let's keep this going, one game at a time.
