Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Thu Sep 25, 2025 10:11 am

Tough game, we saw in the charity shield that these are no mugs and that game was played at a nuetral oche as well, it'll be even worse at their place.

I think this will be the most or the second most difficult game for us so far this season. Although they lost a few players in the transfer window, Palace have started the season strongly by beating us in the Charity Shield and then continued to do well in the league as well. Apart from us, they're the only club without a defeat so far in the league, so I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being the first game we drop points this season.

Yeah apparently they haven't lost any of their last 11 premier league games, a run stretching back to the end of last season obviously.

They are a sturdy unit, can be difficult to break down. If we win I think it'll be another scrappy one. Let's hope agent Geuhi blunders a few times lol.

After the midweek rest the big guns will be back, I'd expect Slot to start Isak as Ekitike is suspended.

Interestingly their two wins have been against strugglers West ham and Villa. They've drawn against Chelsea, Sunderland and Forrest. Quality wise, realistically we should be beating these lot. However, we ain't even clicked yet and haven't looked that convincing during matches.

As these lot are a stubborn side and with us still trying to find the right gear I think this will be a draw. Also wouldn't be surprised if we pull a winner at the end.

Man we're all over the place, thank God we have Alisson otherwise it would have been more than just one behind.

Don't know what the hell Konate wants in terms of money for a new contract while playing like this. Another one for the Madrid bench.

Missed this first half but from what I'm hearing we've been dreadful.

Konate and Bradley have been absolutely DREADFUL this first half. Konate back to being a donkey rushing in and getting turned every attack.. if not for Alisson we'd be 5-0 down here.

Bloody hek, talent we've got on the pitch and we're getting out played I don't get it.

Yakka alluded to it perfectly in a post before, how he was worried when teams sliced through us easily. From what I'm hearing its been majority Palace who are cutting us open with ease.

I am REALLY worried about our backline this season. Kerkez has not impressed so far and neither has Frimpong. Bradley has not filled me with confidence, Konate and Gomez have been poor from what I have seen so far. Only VVD and Szlobozai has been good at the back so far this season and that is worrying.

I know it is early but im begining to think was Wirtz a wrong buy? Instead of buying him we should've strengthened CB pos. Maybe I'm wrong....

I'd move Szoboszlai to RB take Bradley off.. move Wirtz back into CAM and bring Gakpo on at LW

Well a tough game was expected but we've truly been awful. We're not doing Wirtz any favours throwing him into games like this one, he's been invisible. Isak too but we had no choice with him plus he's clearly not match fit enough. We have Gakpo and Chiesa on the bench so I hope those two can change the game when they come on second half.
